has anyone tried out an ob classic pro shaft? how does it compare to the ob2 and predator z2? i just recently started using the z2 over the ob2 because of the stiffness, and was curious how the classic pro compares to the other shafts. thanks

There have been a few folks that bought and reviewed them - check out the search tool, and you'll find some helpful info

In a month

I will have tried all 3. I recently got an OB-2 and there were a few issues with it and I am going to return it (OB TOTALLY stands behind there product). I was originally looking for an ob classic pro, but the wait time I heard initially scared me off since I wanted a 30" shaft. There were kind enough to offer to switch to the classic pro after I return the ob-2. Back story complete...

It is my understanding that the OB classic pro has the firmest hit of the three. The ob-2 has a soft hit, and in relation to the other two, the predator z falls in the middle. I think this is a pretty fair consensus from Royce at OB and the people who have hit them. I am very much looking forward to getting the ob classic pro.

I have a Z2 and OB Classic Pro. I don't have an OB2 though

I really like the OB Classic Pro and it's hit. ... I'll be buying OB for all future purchases.

I will say that in *my own novice subjective opinon*... the Z2 seems to cause a little less squirt than the OB Classic Pro on english shots. However, I like the hit of the OB Classic Pro.... so, take that for what it's worth from this novice player.

I would recommend buying the OB Classic Pro.

I haven't tried the classic pro, but I got the regular classic a week ago and I find that it is much more stiff than predators. I used to shoot with a 314 2, and have tried the 314, Z2 and OB-1 and the classic is very stiff compared to the others. Almost feels like my schon shaft. On a stiffness spectrum it goes from OB-1, predator 314, predator z, and then OB classic. There is more deflection with it though. Not terribly a lot, but noticeably more than with the predators. I still love it so far though. It's like the best of both worlds - the stiffness that I want but with the lower deflection quality. It's very accurate, hits like a dream. I can put a crap ton of spin on the ball and park it wherever I want. Breaks like a hammer too. Seamless fit onto my schon. I highly recommend it, especially since predator doesn't cover warping in their warranty but OB does. I'm definitely on the OB bandwagon now. Great product and great company.
