LD shaft for Lambros cue

I've not seen any aftermarket LD shaft on a Lambros advertised on this forum, so I'm guessing it is extremely rare or hasn't been done.

Someone at my local pool got a cue from Mike late last year. He mentioned about the possibility of Mike reducing output on his LD shafts because to meet quality standards, average of one in four make it through and the rest go to the trash. Just hallway conversation and unconfirmed officially, but thought I'd mentioned it in case you're planning to get one. If so, you should do it fast.

Can any manufacturer of LD shafts be made to fit a Lambros ultra joint? If so which ones?

I don't think ML will put Predator or other LD shafts on his cue (with Ultra join). I do remember seeing one sold on AZ that was made by NY cue maker R. Hsu (not sure as my memory ain't that good no mo).

Also, I really don't think Lambros cue *need* LD shaft ... although it's just my own opinion. I think his maple shafts don't deflect that much.

Now, if you have older Lambros cue without ultra joint, you can screw on other LD shafts.

I have a Lambros cue from about 2 weeks, so maybe it's a little early to draws conclusions.
Anyway I agree that Lambros shaft don't deflect that much!
And I was a 314-2 player!
Obviously not all standard shafts are the same, some are little better than other but the standard is high.
I think important is also the tip installed, on lambros cue I suggest medium/hard hitting tips.

I have also a 11.75mm LD by lambros: it works very good(near zero deflection) but I can't tell that I like very much because is too stiff for my taste, it looks too tender when hit and I don't like in my bridge.
I hope Mike replies to my emails where I asked him price for a bigger LD shaft matching ring with my cue...

Anyway, I know also that Ryan Theewen from Rat cues could make custom 314-2 with ultra joint(1 or 2).

Anyone can adapt a shaft with Mikes ultra joint but you better get his blessing or you may be hearing from his lawyer. He holds the pat. rights to the ultra joint. I don't think he allows anyone to copy it.
Good Luck,
Ray
