I was just thinking this the other day. Like an APA, Valley, BCA set of forums might get a lot of action without clogging up the main board. Plus you probably won't get the typical "that's a slop league" etc comments as only people interested in that particular league will be reading. And questions might be easier to find that searching the entire board. Just my thoughts....

I would like to see it, but it will probably just turn inton a *****ing session. Most will people will just complain about sandbagging a rules they don't like.

I hate leages. ;)

I think a section specific for leagues would be great, if it would keep the league bashers and naysayers from the threads away.

Can't understand anyone voting NO...

It would clean up the main forum alot and allow league players a dedicated area to discuss the topics that they want

A little extra organization never hurt anyone
You are right and I agree that a new forum would be an asset. However, I can understand why someone would vote no, as well. I think the reason to vote no would be that some valuable contributors may leave the main forum area and stick to the league boards. Just a thought.

league forum

Yes, but there is going to be a lot of whining about handicaps. When I was in Vegas this year all people talked about in the smoking area was handicaps.

Yes.

I think that it would get at least as much activity as the Tournament Talk or Ask the Pros forums, possibly more. Some of the threads in those forums sometimes go weeks without a post.

IMO, it would especially be useful for the many people with rules questions, which are fairly frequent in the Main Forum threads (although it is my opinion that anyone who plays in a league should have a set of written rules in their possession either in their case, or at least in their home).

It doesn't matter either way to me, but I think there has been a few more league posts lately because of the holidays and end of session playoffs. (Leaguers might have a little more free time) My guess is that it will die down in a couple weeks on it's own anyways.

I have to agree that the rule questions are annoying and I'm half tempted to tell the lazy so and so to either look them up or call their league operators before wasting other peoples time. Almost as annoying are the people who answer without knowing what they are talking about.

My only concern is about questions about etiquette and sporstmanship. I think these should be on the main board whether it is a league thing or not. For the betterment of the game, I think these are the areas that the more respected posters are really needed.
