6 man BCA team, planning on going to Vegas with 6 from the start of the regular season. Chemistry of the team is decent, one player is a little out of the loop and does not quite fit chemistry-wise and is shooting hot and cold. The 6 players all on the team are very close in skill level so as to be nearly identical in substitutions. No matter who asked to sit out in Vegas things will be difficult.

Maybe I don't understand it but to me it sounds like you have to bench someone at Vegas and this person was the one. Since you mentioned above that his shooting is hot and cold and he's out of the loop and does not quite fit chemistry-wise. So he plays and pays the entire season to sit out in Vegas but in turn he goes to another team so he can play in Vegas and you are trying to not pay him, now that sounds a little cold hearted. So would you have felt better if he did finish up the season on the team and paid to go to Vegas and just sat the pine but still got the money? This way you got your answer to who will play and he still gets to go and play in Vegas also. He did play the season and won those same games for the team to make the TEAM first place, did he not?

At the start of the season it was determined that each of the 6 people on the team pay equal amounts of the total league fees owed for the season regardless of the number of weeks played and then split the travel and hotel allowance 6 ways.

The team refuses the offer of the player playing out the season and playoffs understandably and removes the player from the team immediately.

Out of your entire post these are the two salient facts. An agreement was made and the team decided. The player was willing to finish out the session with the team and only not play in Vegas a fact already decided that the team would be sitting him (high percentage of chance).

My team has a unusual tradition. The end of the session competitions where money is won unlike other teams who divide it up and who gets what and how much, we put it in a pot and go out to dinner. The money pays the bill.

We earn it as a team....we spend it as a team.

Make sure the lack of chemistry isnt whats affecting the teams decision

seems to me, he paid his fees and offered to play out the string. i say he gets the jacket and any prize money for winning first, but it seems to me that the travel to Vegas money should go to those who are going to Vegas...
