Well I have been a captain for about 5 years of an Apa team (a roller coaster both good and bad).We have had a nice quiet location that wasn't much of a bar and was large with a few tables and very quiet during the week. It worked for the whole team, regardless of how seriously each team member took this sport there was a little something for all of us. Well anyways we take the summer off, and I had re-registered the team for the fall session. This evening I went to our bar to deliver a schedule for the upcoming session and the place is closed with a FOR SALE sign out front. Crap I am homeless.
OK enough venting, I have been sick of playing in the bars but really enjoy the relationship I have built with my friends. There is a pool hall near me that has a TAP league. I would like to promote this instead of another bar. Anyone have any positive Tap experiences (or league played at a pool hall) that could help me sell this idea? We have all had a good time in the APA, but I would like to move to something more competitive.
Thanks!
Any negative responses welcome also, stopping league play is also an option, but I am concerned that without a commitment I may not be able to play all the time.
