League records in your area?

Just thought to thow this out there....what types of records do you have in your local charters for 8 ball? Wins percentage? Plus/minus? ERO's? LOL ERO's against? Whatever! I would like to see what other leagues have as a guage for ours.

The following is taken from my teams standings in our VNEA league.

never mind it looked like crap, I'll try take a screen shot.

These stats include: Average, Total points, Total Games, EROs, 8 on the breaks, Wins, 10-0s, Consecutive Wins and 50-0 (five 10-0s in a row)

In our small town non-sanctioned league, we track total wins, total losses, and percentage wins. Last year I tried to implement statistics for 8-ball breaks and unforced error wins/losses, but nobody wanted to take the time to mark the squares on the new score sheets.:frown:
 
The NWPL, a local money league, keeps track of wins, losses, 8 ball breaks, and Table Runs. My current record is 20-9 with 2 table runs. Very simple and easy to keep track of.

Missing. I'm not in their leagues, rather I play singles 9 ball at Pacific. Last year my name was at the top of the B league standings. This year it's much closer to the bottom :angry: .

The only individual statistic to look at in an 8-ball league is the MVP points.

MVP points are calculated based on balls scored - balls given up. That will show the true ability. Less there is some other factors, such as your oppenent might break and run and you have NO control over that.

But in the long run, the better players will have many more MVP points than the others.

Our leagues don't incorporate this so we created a website to joke around with and keep track of the imporant stats.

We divided it into breaking, racking and total. Kept track of W, L, Balls made, Balls given up, ERO's, MVP points and 10-0's.

Remember an ERO is an Eight ball run out and is considered breaking and running or your oppenent dry breaking and you running out from there.
 
I like:
- Most EROs in a season (41 in 220 games)
- Highest ERO percentage 23.5% (31 in 132 games)
- Most 10-0s in a season (33 in 200 games)
- Highest number of consecutive wins 32
- Biggest +/- in a season 450 balls

Not sure if there are others that can be monitored.

In my area, this is called Power Average
 
My personal best in APA was going 2 and a half years without losing. I played 5s and higher, but that was 10 years ago. Now that I've come back I'm happy to go two weeks....just need to get back into the swing of things

1. Greg Smyth 41 (Super League 2006/07 - 260 games)
2. Roger Miller 40 (Super League 2006/07 - 250 games)
3. Curtis Houlden 40 (Super League 2006/07 - 270 games)
4. Sean Clarke 40 (Super League 2006/07 - 250 games)
5. Andre 39 (Super League 2007/08 - 208 games)

Highest ERO % in a season (must have 20 EROs to qualify):
1. Gerry Williams 23.44% (Super League 2007/08 - 30 EROs - 128 games)
2. Sean Clarke 20.83% (Thurs A 3 Man 2006/07 - 30 EROs - 144 games)
3. Jason Munro 19.75% (Thurs A 3 Man 2005/06 - 32 EROs - 162 games)
4. Andre Noel 18.00% (Super League 2007/08 - 39 EROs - 208 games)
 
Just to help out the post by lady9ball, if you visit the ISPA web site (ispa.in2pool.com), you can browse throught any of our 30+ leagues statistics. We are quite satisfied with the stats info provided by the in2pool site and you can get so much info from these sites. You can actually see what your win-lose record is for any other player in your league as far as the records go back.

I was surprized to see that my own winning record against opponents breaks was greater that on my own break. I guess that tells me I need to learn how to break.
