Learned something new...

Swapped the butt of my PBkai last night with a friend (an unwrapped butt, that I added a cricket bat style rubber grip too - for one with a built in grip) - probably placebo effect, but I was hitting the break so sweet. Trialled my break in each game style, and snatched the guys hand off to trade. I guess the balance is different, but both weighed the same on the scales. Obviously the built in grip was slimmer in hand.

Hammering a few racks of 8ball in a short race after, and this happened. Jammed in the middle pocket. Can DM a link to a video if you want to see it, but still don't know how to post a video straight here. Never seen it happen from a break off before.

The friend I was playing is a high level referee here (Chinese-8 ball, China Open, Yuan8 open etc), and I learned that both of these would count as pocketed balls in this situation (not that it is likely to happen to me ever again... I will have been playing for two years on 24th of Feb... If I broke on average 30 times a day, 365 days a year, that's 1 in 29,000ish odds)

Anyway, PBKai is a gun breaker.

No doubt. Just posterating - fk the contrast. Gotta say, never had balls jam in the sides though. :D
I suppose the Chinese logic is had there been no collision, both would have gone. Although, what if one was already hanging and the other showed up and crammed itself in?

One sat there, and a collision off another ball jammed the second in there. I was happy to leave them lie, and he told me they both get pocketed due to half crossing the line of the pocket opening.

I don't think it will happen again in my lifetime haha

Thanks for sharing the experience of the new break. I'd love to get a DM link to the video. You are lucky? Unlucky?

Most would argue it has left the "playing surface", and therefore a foul.
I actually thought if it left the playing surface like that, and stayed there as in the picture, it's a foul. But if it rolled back down on the table, no foul.
Not sure though, somebody will be along to tell the rule.
