What size is preferred for stack leather wraps?
Thanks!

BarenbruggeCues said:1.5mm is around 59-60 thou thick......you definately have to sand and work it after the install unless you plan on carving a canyon for the wrap groove.
Is it a "natural" hide or already dyed?
Flex said:I don't have it yet. I can get it in "natural" or many colors, from this guy on eBay: http://stores.ebay.com/Leathercordonline
Perhaps 1mm would be better?

Flex said:Well, I did a little search on the web for flat leather lacing, and found a website in Georgia that offers some pretty good stuff.
Here it is:
http://www.leathercordusa.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=LCU&Category_Code=C10
And their prices are very reasonable. A 10 meter spool of 3mm Superior Belting Lace, in a variety of colors, including natural, is only $6.79 plus shipping, for instance. Orders of $50 or more are shipped free. They even have deerskin lace, cool website!
I ordered a spool of the tan lace, just to have on hand, as it'll probably be going on one of my cues soon!

rhncue said:What is 3mm? width or thickness? You do realize that 3mm is about an 1/8 inch.

Flex said:3mm is the width. Thickness is supposed to be 2mm. I'll find out pretty soon. If the stuff won't work for a wrap, I can always use it for my boots.![]()
