Kamui has a video on YouTube, where they use a leather sealer on the side of the tip, to finish it. I'm just wondering what type of leather sealer they use, and/or what leather sealer is best to use.
P.S. I have a lathe.

Thanks.

good old spit and use backing of sandpaper, or wax, some use a leather sealer some dont , we all use diff methods ,,,my 2cents

Tiger leather burnisher is what they are showing I believe. It works well. Spit, or cue wax work as well. I find different tips shine up better with the 3 listed above, so I just use what experience as taught me for each different tip.

Try spit & a piece of leather, works great

Be careful trying to burnish with leather as leather can melt some plastic ferrules pretty fast. I use spit and a paper towel for the initial burnish. The Cue Man Shaft sealer works good for a final burnish with a paper towel. You can polish the ferrule with Cue Buff or other polishing compound also.

The Tiger tip burnishing liquid works great, a big bottle is $15 or so, it will last you years.
It gives you that professional look your after

Interesting I've never tried any leather treatment. I've always just hit 'em with a sharpie... (Disclaimer I'm not a cue maker and only do my own.)
