what is the right thickness for the leather wrap blanks???

most are .025-.027 thick
The same as Irish linen, .0023-.0025.
What Paul said...............but you have to go a bit thicker to what JB said depending on the type of leather being used.
Between .023 & .027 give or take depending on the blank. If certain thicker blanks are requested (elephant ear, etc.) I inform the customer what needs to be done to install it. Not my preference to deepen the wrap groove however. That might wrap it all up in a neat package.
