leather wrap question?

I have a cue, a little over 18 oz. I'm not sure if I can add bolts to make it a little heavier. I want to change the leather wrap. What are the heavier wraps out there? I am looking to add .5 oz to 1 oz more to the weight of the cue.

Don't think changing the wrap will add any weight, tom

i dont think that replacing the leather is gonna do much to the weight.

i would think if the leather was heavier it would also have to be thicker, so with that the wrap section of the butt would have to be turned down.

hence taking away wood, making the cue even lighter.

what kind of cue do you have?

alot of cues have a threaded area behing the weight screw where allen headed set screws can be added. Thats how i added weight to my McDaniels. and this way its out of sight and out of mind.
