Leather wrap

First, I am not a cuemaker, but need some info as I am dealing with wood and leather. Hope no one gets upset as this has nothing to do with cue making but rather a walking stick. Anyone still here? Wood is called diamond willow and want to cover about 12 in. with a piece of thin pigskin I have around the house. What would be a good adhesive? I am staining with Minwax oil based stain and finish from Ace Hardware. I assume the adhesive will be okay on top of this stain. Any advice or hints would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest contact cement.

I use PVA Glue (Carpenters glue / white glue / Elmers glue ) on my leather projects. It allows you to move the leather in place before it dries, its also perfect for wood :wink:

Thanks for the input Arnot, qguy and 8 man. Now I can move onto some ivory inlays and maybe a low deflection tip for the finest walking stick ever made. LOL.
