Leather Wrap

Aloha,

I have a Titlist conversion with a linen wrap that I am thinking about getting redone.

If I were to replace it with leather, what thickness of leather would be needed in order to not have to deepen the wrap channel.

I am thinking of having it wrapped with something that would look like this Tascarella.

Leather varies but around .020 to .025 is the usual goal. The more important question is.
What is the dept of your wrap channel now?

I assume whatever depth the width of the Irish linen thread is. :)

Is the depth of the channel usually not known until the wrap is removed?

It has happened where Irish linen was a different thickness. The normal now seems to be .020 to.022.
SOMEONE ( cough cough BULLSHIT)
Sent me some leather at .016 and called it a bonus
(cough cough SNAKE)
I don't have to tell you what my response was.
