Jig???:confused: :eek: , Yes I agreed with you Jim. Needs a Unique Product Jig beside the razor blade:D . I have the same jig from Unique Product and I just posted a thread on cue gellary and cue and mechinery that i just installed leather wrap with Unique jig.:p
 
Hey, is there a demo video on the Wrap Magic Fixture from Unique, and if so how can I get it. I am very interested in purchasing but would like to see it work.

I use an aluminum straight edge and a new X-acto blade in a handle...

wrap video

you can pick up a video for the wrap fixture,from unique products or ask billiardbum.I have the fixture it works very well.

I have a DEANGELO jig, i was just wondering if other people have found out that other cutting tools work better for the seems.I have heard that a sergical knife works best and was wondering if anbody uses one. The exacto knife was interesting to hear, because i thought about that also. Thanx, Ron

I use the single edge razor blade. I used to use an exacto knife but found the blade to be a little too flexible and it walked away from the seaming guide easier than the single edge razor blade. I have used the DeAngelo jig and it works fine. Only limitation is some longer cues, some fatter older cues and some compound taper cues don't fit into the jig for seaming real easy. Uniques jig looks like it would do the job on most cues. The jig I now use requires one of my lathes to mount the seaming guide on and hold the cue, but cost a half what the DeAngelo did. Angelo also made my templates for me when he was ready to retire making his jig. So the end radius templates are the original DeAngelo templates. My seaming guide is 1/4" thick so the blade can sit very flat along the guide for a very precise indentical cut on both halves of the seam.

Very curios, how long will that stay sharp? How hard is it to and how is it re-sharpened? 30.00 buys around 600 single edge razor blades but if it is easy to maintain and does a better job then it certainly is worth looking into.

Thanks Jim, I recieved dvd yesterday. Brian did a great job on the wrap video. I will most likely purchase the Wrap Majic ficture with in the next month or two. I may even pick up some additional videos. By the way, I was wondering about the ruler, cutting board, and templete. I checked out Unique's web site and didn't find them.

This is the the template with the DVD and the Fixture. The cutting template is just a Grey material the is self healing...Sorry for not pic of the grey material or the Ruler.

Thanks Jim, I checked out Uniques web site again and notice the fixture comes with all. At $400 with everything it is realy a good deal. Can you tell me if the other videos are spacific to equipment or general? When I purchase fixture next month I will most likely get all.
