Leaving In Fall for Wisconsin

Several major cue manufacturers are from that area, see if you can't get a tour and report back here ... with pics!

Congrats!

Yes! I'm about 3 miles from Pechauers shop. I don't know of many other cue makers stationed around here though.

Time to go exploring!

I live about 2 miles from Pechauer Custom Cues. I have a valley table in my house. Let me know if you would like to shoot some evening.

American Cue Sports Leagues

Alright guys -

I figured I'd revive an older post of mine than create a new one. I got to Green Bay today and played a few racks at the University - I move in to my dorm room on the 28th and until then I'm at a hotel. Anyway, from today onward for a few months I'll be in Green Bay and I'd love to meet up with some fellow players.

Am also looking into joining a league out here (already know of a few but if somebody wants to mention a league out here feel free to do so).

Get out from behind the keyboard and let's shoot some people sometime! Where are all the Green Bay shooters at???

If I still lived in Wisconsin, I would be playing in an ACS (American Cue Sports) league.
They operate out of Green Bay.

You'll have more free time than you realize in college. Plenty of opportunities to play pool and learn the game while still going to class etc. If you're looking to find a part time job the student union pool hall might be a good place to look. That's what I did when I was in school. It put a little change in my pocket and I made out like a bandit with free table time. Also, keep an eye out for any pool teams or clubs. A lot of universities have them, and while they might just be club teams it's great for socializing and there are a few intercollegiate tournaments to play in. If there isn't a club you might look into starting one.

Thursday nite 9 ball tournaments in Oshkosh at Varsity Club Billiards. Get on WSPA or BCA league, state tournament is in Green Bay this year, singles at end of January.

I got hooked up with a part time job at Menards in the mornings - am also looking to buy an unlimited pass for $95 bucks so I get free table time all semester.

Other than that I will be starting a pool club/team because the UNI currently does not have one. I'm looking into doing that the first day of class =P

It's been about 8 years since I was in school, but I was the president of our pool club for a minute when I was there so I have a little experience in this area. If you have any questions or want any advice I'm happy to help.
