Congratulations to Jeanette Lee for winning the women's trick shot championship. Sounds like there may only have been 4 women participating. First prize of $25,000. It's sad that regular tournaments have such a paltry prize in comparison (I guess I just don't get the fascination with trick shots). Does anyone have any details?? (SJM, did you make it over to the event??).

Hope you're well, Willie. Opted to check out the three cushion event in Queeens, NY, instead of the men's Intl COC on Thursday, and I didn't even know about the women's trick shot event that took place Friday.

First prize of 25,000 is great, and I couldn't be happier for Jeanette, but the amount is pretty hard to fathom. Count me among the many who also is, in no way, fascinated by trick shots, Willie.

I'll send you a private message, Willie,so keep your eyes open.

I enjoy watching trick shots. The reason is that you get to see what is really possible to pocket a ball/balls. I use a couple of these "tricks" to pocket a ball or two in my game. I do not study the multiple ball shots, just the simpler ones. Give it a try, you might suprise yourself with what is possible.

The general public is enthralled with artistic pool.

It can take many many hours to develop a shot but once the layout is determined and the english, force of stroke, etc is figured the repeatbility level becomes quite high. The work is in development.

Everyone has been laughing at me because I don't play 9 ball, there is your answer. My Dog, went on national prime time TV and playing trick shots competiting for $25,000 also, he was on the premier of pet star. I hope that explains it to you.

This is true if you want to go out and perform the Paul Gerni show, a bunch of 3in3's, 4in4's, all set up shots that are wired in, once they are in, any body in the joint can make them.

Now do what I do, Massey, Perlinga, Rojas, Sammy, real stroke shots, massive draws, force follows, masses, that can take a decade, that is what seperates the men, from the boys in this game.

Willie,

Check the front page of AZ because they did have a cover story on it a day or two ago.

Point well taken, cutshot. If a shot is one that you might actually consider playing in a game, it is of interest. Multiple ball shots, for the most part, don't qualify, nor, for that matter, do most shots you see in a trick shot exhibition or competition.

Not in my clinics, I show how to go through a ball in your way, curve around it, go over it, things that come up in real games, I have about 25 that will blow your mind. Everyone are real game things that come up.

The results and bracket are posted on the IAPA website at http://www.webtechosting.com/iapa. Here is a quick recap:

There were 4 women invited. Jeanette Lee beat Loree Jon Jones and Ewa Lawrence beat Ming Ng. Jeanette then beat Ewa in the finals.

It was held at Mohegan Sun. I was up there and it was exciting to watch.
