I jumped a ball the other day, and someone told me the was not legal because my tip followed through and hit the cloth. I have never heard of this rule before. I have asked other experienced players and they also say they have never heard of this.
On some draw shots you can hit the cloth on the follow through. So, I don't understand why someone might think that you can some how not follow through on a jump shot and hit the cloth.
This person would never concede that he might ever be wrong, but I would like to know if anyone else has ever heard of this.
