LEGENDS- AMATEUR PLUS $60 9 Ball -April 25th & 26th,2009 LEAGUE CITY, TX

I saw that it said that no pros can play and also that Fast Eddies winners could not play and was a little confused. So I called Legends and asked which was correct. I played this last weekend and really enjoyed the tournament. Even with the no pros allowed, there was only a few players that would not be eligible for the amateur event.

Yeah, I missed taking that line out. This event was originally posted as the same as the other "amateur" Legends event. They told me about 3 weeks before the event that it was a "No Pro" event.

The conflicting info alone should've been the key to "ask".

What's up with the "hair splitting" Dennis?

Ray

Not trying to split hairs ray, but moneys tight right now and ive gotta choose my tourneys carfefully and id like to know what im getting into. I know it was just an oversite but still. it wouldve sucked to make the 4 hour drive just to have bastrop put me in the losers side right off the bat. I could get that all day long in San antone, and its only half as far.

not trying to break your balls. just alot of people didnt know this wasnt an amature event.

this is all moot anyways since i probably wont be at anything till the world classic in sept anyways.

You actually had to read more closely to have ANY doubts about what kind of tournament it was. You had to quote one line in the middle of the post, when there were 2 other places that said is was "No Pro".

The entire reason you gave originally was that there where guys who are pro level that might have come and didn't because they thought it was Amateur. THEY didn't read the post. If THEY did, they would've at least called.

You ARE splitting hairs and you ARE busting my balls. The bigger question is WHY?

Ray

Alright guys - that's enough.

Ray was providing the info he got from Legend's and they changed it on him. He tried to edit his post the best he could and missed something.

Dennis - you are making good points about the economy and it would have sucked (you are very right).

I think this is a "learning experience" for everyone involved.

We all do the best we can and keep the players and tournaments in mind, so let's learn from this and stop going back and forth.

Ray, I'm staying neutral on this one. At first, I really thought this was a amateur tournament, until Bastrop told me he was going and I reread the post. Maybe in the future if there is an error in a tournament post, you can post the correction. Dennis, the tournament flyer below the first post is correct and many of the other posts talk about this tournament being a no-pro event. I know both of you and both of you are true gentlemen, so I think you both are getting worked up over nothing.

5 star post.

Dennis made his point.

Ray obviously had no ill intent.

Let's move on dudes. Peace.

Ray, please don't stop posting these announcements.

every 3 or 4 months they have an AMATEUR tournament. The tournament is open to anyone that has not placed 1st in an open tournament... fast eddies, the Houston open, tournaments like the bogies tournament... Once a year they have the Houston OPEN which anyone can play. Then once a year in they will have the amateur NO PRO which is open to anyone except the top 32 touring professionals. I'm at Legends EVERYDAY. If anyone ever has an questions, please feel free to pm me.
