Leon Sly cues

I have seen Leon take leaps and bounds thru the years in his cues and quality. I would like you guys to show off his work in this thread with nice pics please and share not only pics but woods used and its age so we know what time period it came from. I personally think Leon is among the best and his quality shows it. Post them up!
you won't see many of them on hear lol. jim i can email you a mother load of pics if you like just let me know....i hope your doing well:thumbup:

All of the Sly cues I have viewed on AZ have impressed me. He is definitely a creative, talented cue-maker. His veneers are immaculate, colorful and the inlays are precisely made and positioned. The creativity of some of the sleeve designs knocked me off my feet....Leon is one of the best kept secrets and I can't understand why......another cue-maker that doesn't get the acclaim he deserves is Bob Owen.

Back to Leon's cue's, he has made some cues that compete with the very best. Personally, I think the Szamboti designs he's made should qualify as outstanding works of pool art. The pending ivory ban in California is going to crimp my pool cue collecting but if it weren't for that horrible development, I'd likely be asking Leon to build me a killer Szamboti design pool cue.........and I have every confidence it would be a total knockout too. I would have asked him to use that elite stock of ebony he is willing to part with for my points and butt sleeve........the forearm would have to be some type of maple.

I hope folks who enjoy owning one of Mr. Sly's cues will post photos for the rest of us to enjoy. Keep up that great cue-making Leon and Jimmy Lee, if I were in your shoes, I'd be starting a cue fund so I could get one of his cues........maybe you already do......if so, get a bigger cue case so you can add some more Sly pool cues.

My Honduran Rosewood Burl & Ebony Player

I can't say enough about the way this cue flows beautifully from tip to bumper.
G2 tips, beautiful ferrules to tremendous AAAA shafts, ff mahogony joint 3/8 x10 into a black beauty forearm with 4 amazing veneered HRB points. Wrapped up with a high quality elephant ear wrap that I purchased from Jamie & a beautiful clean ebony butt with a crown cap. This cue is a really fantastic custom cue built to my specs.
It is my daily player for these reasons.
Over a year & this is still my sword of choice.
Thank you Leon Sly for building me such a beautiful Honduran Rosewood Burl & Ebony custom pool cue that plays wonderful.

This was suppose to be wrap-less but requested a wrap after ordering it. Have not chalked it yet. Not fancy but fairly sneaky. Oct 2015
