Lesson from Danny Diliberto

OK, I already posted this at AZ but I think Danny deserves his own thread in the straight pool section.

When Willie Betmore got Danny D to come to Indianapolis for a few days of lessons, I was unable to make the trip down there. Willie told me if I could get Danny eight hours of lessons booked in Chicago, Danny would make the trip. Well, I was able to get 13 hours over Memorial Day and the day after and I video'd all the lessons. In fact Danny stayed over until Wednesday and presented awards at the Illinois Billiard Club banquet. He even brought a few friends including George Fels, Freddy the Beard and Bobby Hunter. Here's the lesson he gave me. He sometimes just worked on stroke if that was what the student was interested. I liked playing 14.1 and letting him talk me through it.

If you want lessons, he lives in Florida, but perhaps if he is in your area..... He said he may be coming North next month and if so, I may try to get him to swing by Chicago. If any of you others can put together a few people in your area that would like to have lessons, get a plan and speak with him about it.

His number is 954 483-0389. http://www.dannydiliberto.com/

I used the same service Blackjack did. you get a five minute preview or you can sign up for free, download the software and watch or download the whole two hours.

I haven't watched all of them yet, but in one I was watching yesterday, He runs 50 something while explaining. I may have to edit and just post his run. The student then runs about 30 back at him, so I don't know.

thanks for the video and the story. Must be the only thing I am jealous about being far from the US - pool legends who are alive and kicking live there. Four of them are at the photo you provided. Let them everyone stay healthy and sound as long as possible.

Again, great contribution Dennis. I should have been in bed 2 hours ago, but I got hooked on your lesson. You were playing nicely and Danny was great. I feel a little bad that I'm getting this stuff for free, but I'm certainly enjoying it. It's great that Danny let you tape the lessons. It's also good to see how attentive he is with his students. He truly wants to help you, and it seems that he'll share whatever knowledge he has.
Very enjoyable to watch.
Thanks again.
