Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to share the experience I had taking a lesson from Jay. Went to his house, he's got a beautiful 9' Diamond Pro-Am. He lives only a few miles from the beach so the temperature and ocean breeze make playing at his house the NUTS!

He started by checking out my equipment, making sure I have nothing too wacky. He then set up a few 9-ball layouts and had me run 'em. At this point he is observing my fundamentals and shot selection so he can figure out what level I play at. He does make a few suggestions, such as spreading my stance a little because it looked like I was crowding the cue. We move on to patterns, shot selection, and my break which is probably the weakest part of my game. We also play a few games together so he can share his thought process when he is at the table. He also taught me some great warm up techniques. Jay is very knowledgeable and gave me great advice on every aspect of the game which I know will help me improve.

What I like about Jay is that he does not want to make any drastic changes unless it?s called for. If it?s working why mess with it? He's been around the game since Jesus I think, and he knows what it takes to improve. He told me what I had to do to get better, and at my level it?s not stroking a certain way or lining up a little differently. I will highly recommend Jay to anyone looking for improvement in their game and will certainly see him again.

Thanks, Asgar

Sounds great !!!! Would also be nice to take a lesson, but I think Austria is a little bit to far away ..... *ggg*

He is here staying with me, so he can go win the WSOP, Wouldnt it be cool for him to win a braclet, does anyone on AZ have one???

I'm gonna shoot his nuts off when he has a chance-he will be playing alot of hours of poker to win, I sincerly hope he does, he is one of my best friends in pool-I have 3 best friends in pool. Thats why I bust his chops here, its because I look up to him like a father figure in many ways and he shows his love and concern for me all the time, and that aint bullshit.

He called me at 530am to play but my back wass hurting to bad to move. He is sleeping now but wh will get played tonight, last time we played he beat me but that was then this in now. I'm gonna bust him, anyone want to buy a slightly used toupee?, I'll have him autograph it. ;) ;) ;)

I was looking at his stats in poker a couple of years ago and he had some nice scores at that time.

Can you imagine how much weight he would give me if he wins the WSOP (just to get me to the table) ?;)

I enjoyed our time together. Like I told you, when you learn how to put your body (Asgar is a big guy) into the break shot, you will be dangerous! You're a good student, and you learn fast. I tell you something one time, and you've got it. Your game will go up minimum of one full speed within a month. Just watch. The same guy(s) who had been beating you, won't like it anymore. :)

Asgar is just a hair below 'B' player level, a good amateur player. What I call a strong Intermediate level player. With some work, he could be much better. He has a good mindset and mature attitude. He gets down over the balls real good and stays very still while shooting. Good basics!
