Lessons at 95?

On Thursday, I had a teaching session with two fellas even older than I am!
One was 86 and the other, 95. I really admired their love of the game and the gumption to still be learning at their age.
They were an inspiration to me and others watching. The session was great!

That is great. One of the best things about this sport is that you can be any age and still be able to play the game. And of course your never too old to learn.

That makes perfect sense to me. My godfather told me in my teens that a real wine lover would still order his favourite wine on subscription (= available/delivered two years later, mature to drink possibly decades later) at the age of a hundred. The reason he said is simple: it's not over until it's over. And I like to think that we don't quit learning and doing the things we love most in life because we get old, but that it's really the other way round: we get old when we start to give up.
