Lessons with EARL!

I just had a 3 hour private lesson with Earl (Strickland). It was the most enjoyable, productive 3 hours I have ever spent at the table. He is really a thoughtful, passionate (about pool) guy. We went over a bunch of things, and we didn't move on until he felt I totally understood the point and could execute it. It was suppose to be 2 hours, he threw in the last hour. It ended with him saying "I really enjoyed this. Call me if you want to go over anything"

Hope I'm not being out of line, but how much did the lessons cost?

Good to hear. Did Earl come down to the 21st St. Dungeon, then? Work on stuff you particularly wanted to improve, or did he pick out things in your game to address?

Maybe you've gotta spot me now if we get around to a rematch of that epic, high-stakes, hill-hill contest we had there a few months ago, eh?

It was at Masters not B'way. We did both. I have video, I may post some on YouTube

Refresh my memory

Always nice to hear the positive. I sat next to The Pearl at a tourney once and he just started talking to me...wasn't anything like the guy one might think he'd be given the jewels folks share on ye olde forum...

Um, the big game. I believe we played a late-nite race to 5 after you saw me get skunked by one of the bullies in the room, younger guy, big stroke, plays a lot of one-hole.

As I recall, I was running out the last rack and got greedy cheating the pocket playing the 8 down the rail ... and hung it for ya. I haven't been down there more than a handful of times since, though.
