Lets Make joe76195 Feel Better about sales and trades - 2 meuccis shafts

This member asked to trade with me and has a 0 itrader and about 50 posts.
I accept his offer and let him know he can ship me the item and I will ship as soon as I recieve it.
His response is he is uncomfortable with shipping first. (Scammer or Noob?) I hope Noob cause I want the OB2 he has.
I have informed him of My iTrader and how things work here on AZ.
Maybe a few others can ease his mind as he is new here.

So in keeping with the forums rules, I still have 2 Meucci Shafts for trade http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=280458 unless Joe follows through.

I know how you feel BUMP. I had the same kind of issue with a newer member with few I-Trades. Mind you when purchasing from him a money order is required. I would never send a money order to a new memeber or even a long time member unless they had an impecable rep here.
So this member that I refer to sends me a message that he is shocked and insulted that I dare to question his integrity by asking him to ship his cue to me first.
Needless to say things went from bad to worse and I doubt I would ever sell or trade with that individual in the future.
Funny thing is......I've seen posts from others since then where this guy has agreed to a deal with one person and then continued to try and negotiate a better deal with someone else.
I think my instincts are right......better to pass on any future headaches with someone who refuses to earn their stripes.

They said I never said when I wanted the package delivered? I was like do you know what the term ASAP means? I mean come the F+ck on why would I want you to wait 3 weeks then deliver the package if Im not home when you try then hold it but atleast give it an attempt before you pull this shit. I will never in the future use fedex.


In answer to your thread how about an Escrow?.. as well Java is a great guy to deal with

Escrow is too expensive for a couple of used meucci shafts! I'd just move on. Gotta love some of these guys on here!

I think if the person has no idea about the itrader then ok but once they are aware of how things work and see how others have earned a good reputation then it should be a non issue unless they are scamming or trying to be a pain in the ass troll.

Yea shipping can have some unfavorable outcomes but it shouldn't reflect on the seller who shipped, he has no control over that.

As for escrow I did let the guy know about it, but it really is pointless for the 2 shafts, unless he pays. :grin:

When I was new here I ran into the same issues. I bought a tasc and had to send a money order in advance of the cue. I was uneasy but then realized the person had over 30 positive itraders with no negative feedback. This is how I started and I now have several successful itraders.

The person has to understand that your are a longtime and trusted member of this community and he will run into the same problems with anyone he is trying to do his first deal with.

I know escrow tends to be expensive. And I was not saying for you to pay escrow. I do believe since you have the good rep, he should be the one to pay the escrow since he is the one uncomfortable with the way it works. Ive done 3 deals here all three I have shipped or payed first I have not had a problem that would be fault of the seller. Hope he changes his mind.

Pat, the guy poolfool talks about is me. Lol. Maybe you should tell him how we did business together.... He is the God of all deals around here and a forum policeman wannabe. I think his chest is full of itrader patches.
OT: It was hard for me to start here also, but my first sell/trade was smooth. I've sent my items first, of course, cause' this is the 1st rule: no itrader/rep, you need to show that you are a good business partner. My itrader is not everything but the guys I've dealt with are, right poolfoul?...heheh.. Ask them about me, and stop crying around. Mercy is not a virtue it's a defect and dishonors you. You're still ignored. Sorry.

I backed out of a deal (with Chris) cause I thought he was scamin. Then I found out thats just how business is done!
Let me know if the deal falls threw cause I may just buy the black dot!

i was working on a trade with no itrader rating and he agreed to ship first as i had a few transactions on here and he did not. that is how it should be done for noobs compared to someone who has done atleast 30 transactions and 100% rating.

I wish the I trader had a dollar value factor to it. I make one $8000 sale or trade and it equals 1.... Somebody else can sell a piece of chalk for .50 cents, sell 250 of them and they are super man. I show as a 1 and he shows as a 250.

Just wish they could improve it some cause it can deffinately make an improper feel about a dealer.

You make a very good point Cal, what I try to do is add the item to the trader feedback comment.
