Cantando play

Snakewood on the joint...interesting, how does this cue play?? I would think there would be some cracking issues unless it just sits in a case...

The cue hits like most Cantandos. Very firm, very stiff. Art raved about the shaft wood used in this cue. He felt at the time I acquired the cue that it was the best playing cue he had made.

I know some cuemakers prefer phenolic at the joint collar; I trust in Arthur and never asked if his design uses a phenolic core. All I know for sure is that Art built the cue to play and he is proud of its hit.

wow!!!! that's just downright sick x 2= stunning

Dan calls this the 'Snakewood Stilleto', not sure if the white is ivory or elforyn. Using snakewood as a forearm can be quite difficult because of its tendency to check. Some cuemakers laminate snakewood radially when they use it as a butt sleeve, and add a veneer between each lamination, to relieve the stress and to prevent checking.

You should see Dans playing cue, its a plane jane cue with snakewood forearm with butt sleeve, with irish linen.
