the buttsleeve is BEM instead of ebony. the wrap has also been changed to smooth leather.

As with all things cue related, you either like them or you don't.
The thing about Mezz though is their consistency in construction from piece to piece for their butt and shafts.
Therefore if you've used a wavy jointed or United jointed Mezz butt with a particular Mezz shaft, you'll get near identical performance from a similar combination.
And if you like it you'll probabaly like most of the same combination if you don't, well then you probabaly won't hahahah.
Seems like an obvious answer but this cannot be said for most production cues, and come custom cues too, as the feel and hit varies from cue to cue even though it could be the same model.
my new mezz
My first mezz cue. Traded for it a few weeks ago. This is one solid playing cue. Cue came with an OB Classic + shaft and a hybrid pro 2 shaft. I purchased a WX900 shaft for it and prefer it. These pictures were borrowed from the original owner.

Since the BEM mezz is the best cue I have ever shot with I cleaned out my predators that I had and got another mezz. This time I picked up a PH mezz, but same series as the BEM above. Can't wait to shoot with it.
Cool story behind these cues is that I purchased the first BEM mezz from a gentlemen and Denmark. He said he bought it off here. I did some searching and found the owner and it happened that he offered me this other cue for sale so I had to purchase it. Apparently he had bought both of these cues from mezz at the same time. So a reunion was necessary. I will get some pictures of the set once everything arrives.

PB 2 Break Cue
Here is one that I need to move. It is an excellent break cue, but, doesn't do me much good when all you play is one pocket..lol
Still has that new cue smell! Dead straight and almost perfect condition........
