Lets see your monster playing cues the kind most ppl would never even chalk.

Does this JMW Count?

i dont know how to post pics, but i been useing a 8 pt fanct black boar for 4 years as my player, it with me in Germany now, I have pics of it in my phone. I have a couple Gus & Barry's I play with sometimes as well, but main cue is the boar, I just remembered its on the "Whats in the case" on Youtube, the last time i checked 2 years ago, still might be there. Cue looks brand now, shafts dont but the butt is mint, i dont ding cues

Hey Eric just save the YouTube link and
Paste it because your daily player BB is the
Exact type cue this thread got started for u, me
And quite a few ppl here chalk the big boys and use
Them as they, were meant to be players.

I don't know if this counts as a monster but it's my high-end JMW that's my Daily player. I've got a slightly higher-end Tonkin that will be done in the not too distant future that I'll also be playing with. I don't think I'd ever buy a cue that I wouldn't play with as that kind of defeats the purpose!!

<--- Likes the fancy!!

That JMW is freaking sweet yes it counts.
I have seen a ton of cues of that level never,
Get chalked. I don't have to ask how she plays.
I never hit with one I did not like. Glad to see I'm
Not the only one that uses big cues and is not scared
To play with them. That does not mean taking them in
Sceatchy bars I have a lower end ivory jt and butt capped
Cue, just for bar use. I wanna see your daily players that
Would shock most ppl and collectors, I'm a collector and will
Not own a cue that is a wall hanger. I play with them all and
Have with be descent weight. So that In mind lets see some
More big boys. I even throw in if u chalk it and only use at your
House I wanna see and other Azers to know that behind closed
Doors alot of big boy collectors chalk up some beast and use them,
I'm talking show stoppers if its a monster and u play with it even if
Its only at your home on your table. Lets see it

Erine use to play the holy grail of cues in my mind, the sliver Gina ivory handle from 1966, which he still has.
He would play with it in tournaments to promote buss.
Well all know how that work out lol. So don't be scared to chalk a monster
U have deff if u plan on keeping. It really bugs me when ppl have unreal cues
Built to these exact playing specs and then have the cue maker put all kinds
Of really hard work and never get chalked. So all that effort was so someone
Could say check this out its built to perfect playing weight, balance etc. but u can't try it because its only for SHOW. If u know before hand u will never use it and prolly never sale it y torture the cue maker when he could build it way
Easier when he's not trying to hit specs. On the other hand it is pretty wild what cue makers these days can do for sure

This is about as "Monster" as I will probably ever get. I doubt anyone would hesitate to chalk this one. I have a beautiful custom Jacoby, a DanBuilt that I really like, and an old Prather that has never been chalked. I use an '02 Mike Stacey J/B. There are others, but nothing fits me like my Webb. These pictures are from Poolrod. (I got it from him)

I have used Arthur and Josey, I had a real nice Josey full splice, 4 point, 5 veneer ebony into ebony, but it came with 2 predator shafts which kinda killed it for me... I would love to have seen what that played like with some nice old growth shafts.

I have had 4 Arthur cues and only one played well, the other three felt dead. I have a real problem with their build quality, not from an aesthetic point of view, Marcus' inlays are amazing, and he is an artist, but from a playability perspective.

If I was ranking my cues, then I would say:

Mobley & Black Boar
then Vollmer
Then Southwest, Sugartree, Bluegrass and a Showman Titleist (rather similar to Poolrod's :)

Grant my friend;-)
You ve my word: i ordered 2 regular shafts from keith...and it s fantastic to hit whitey right in the face with it:D

I use it usually with the regular shafts built by my good friend and cuemaker silvio zugec aka gloria cues.

Take care grant

Here's some more pics of my Stacey I had all
White is ivory. Also when I got it, it had this snake
Skin wrap on it and I know my exotics very well and
Even asked the only other cue maker, who had put a
Wrap like this on. That cue maker was bill schick tikkler
Has the cue. Its a brown one I called mike he had no clue
But after talking with Mr bill found out it was real snake
Skin and a awesome looking wrap, but he said he has bought
It 10 yrs ago and could not remember what type snake it was,
Ill post a pic of wrap if anyone can name it I'd like to know, what
Kind it is?
