His communication about the issue, however, may well have been woefully deficient.

BS. He was seen playing in tournaments at the time he bailed on the winner. I don't remember the details because it was so long ago, but his medical ailments didn't show up overnight. It wasnt like he took the order a year previous and then couldn't perform when necessary. What he did was unforgivable. I will NEVER let this be forgotten. And I mean, NEVER.
