Let's Try Again

I purchased this cue a few years ago. Bought as an unsigned Scruggs made for a road player in 1984. (That was the story anyway)
Joe , "Classiccues" concurs that it may be a Scruggs of that era but believes the forearm inlays were done with a pantograph and the butt done at a later time using CNC. It is in origional condition and I was thinking of maybe having it refinished. I am interested in any opinions. Flat faced ivory/ 3/8-10. Wood J/P's.
Thanks for any help.

Another possibility

Could this possibly be a Phillippi? I know in the early 80's Richard had done some cues with that style of floating point and that star pattern inlay. I have some old brochures from him that I will check out.

Those wood screw caps

Those JP's, the wood threads.
Same kind caps that came on my Tim Scruggs Cue.
This was in the mid '90s.
Could be...

Who Would Listen To Anything That Joe V Has To Say.....lol.

Send It To Tim, Have Him Take A Look. That's The Only Way To Be Sure.

To Me It Looks To Be A Scruggs, But I'm Dumb (just Ask My Wife). So That Really Doesn't Matter.

The Inlays Could Have All Been Done At The Same Time, Just The Top Ones Were Sharpened, And The Ones In The Butt Were Not.

Ricky saw it and didn't know. Rick is kind of hard to pin down.
Tim sayd that he has made so many cues that he "don't know".
