Looking for 60 incher to accomodate a long stroke..
Something solid and relatively stiff so I can break with it as well...

Or, since I'm in no hurry, wouldn't mind having one made. Any recommendations?

Price range $700-1100ish (perhaps higher)

Sounds lke a pretty good range

Shawn Putnam makes 60' cues.

Also, try and contact Kenny from fourkingscues. I'm pretty sure he has a handful.

Are you looking for a player, collectible, or both?

Any time. Great to see you have a flexible budget.

Honestly, there are a ton of sellers on here that have something for everybody.

Do a search for "Shawn Putnam" in this forum; I'm sure something will pop up.

Good luck with your search.

Paul Allers makes a great 60" cue.....

I just saw a new Cocobola 6 pointer that Paul has available yesterday at our monthly 9-Ball tourney at the Village. It was SWEET....had a hard time not buying it :grin-square: >>> contact Paul at pcallers@comcast.net.

If you want to try one for a steal of a deal -- check out this Ash cue here >>> http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=180348

Paul is a local favorite up here in the Northwoods; 59" to 60" cues are his standard cues!

Our next monthly 9-Ball tourney is on May 15th here in Bellingham, WA.....if you can make it down, I'll be happy to introduce you to Paul so that he can personally show you some of his cues and, possibly let you hit a few balls in-between matches ;)

Alex Brick (in Nashville, TN) makes great cues and has made
several 60" cues for me (non for sale).

Sheldon Cues

Sheldon Lebow out of Eugene Oregon has made quite a few and along with Bob Owen would be the two cues makers I am going to ask when I am ready to have one made (6'5"). There is a pretty lengthy post about longer cues that has been commented on today, but it sounds like you've got a good idea of what you want.

If you wanna try a dirt cheap extended cue, check out Schmelke cues. You could get a 60-62" cue, taper of your choice, laminated shaft for like $130, with joint, shaft, wrap options galore (their M series is cheap and has the most options). You could probably buy one for that, play with it for a while so you could get a feel whether 60 is going to be long enough, and sell it on here for $100 or close to it. Might be a nice investment if it would steer you a little close to your final spec's on a $1000 cue.
