That happened at the time when all stuffs were made in USA. You would be surprised by how bad a chalk could change your game if you tried one of those low quality "Made in China" Chalks. Due to my "real job" needs I go to Shanghai nearly every month. In China if you use the chalk the house offers I guarantee that you will misscue even you chalk your tip for each shot.

That's why there is a huge "chalk" market in China. Every serious chinese player brings his own chalk to the poolhall.
I played in a little place in Beijing and remember the house chalk being pretty good !!!

ANd i stand by my words - this guy who sells the chalk at $30/pc and $50 to ship - is out of his mind!!!
He also is trying to sell this chalk on flea bay:

At first he had it at $240 plus $50 shipping, now it is down to $190 plus $50 shipping.
Plus, he states that chalk ships from Mainland China. Chalk was originally made in Japan. Now it ships from China.....I wonder if this chalk is even authentic.....

I have something in the works that may change the way people look at chalk and what they consider is a fair price for high quality chalk. I am hopeful that I can eliminate the need to pay $20-30 for high end chalk.
