Nice!

Extremely fine and rare cue, got a chance to see this one in person. If my Southwest cue sells this month, I'll take it if still available.

ferrules

Although i am no expert, and no guarantee, one ferrule appears to be the old school micarta, and the other a possibly a linen melamine material.
thanks

Ferrule pics

A close up of the ferrules, you can be the judge.

Libra ID

I have had many inquiries about this cue, but the main problem i am having is the fact that most buyers are suspect of it being a Libra cue, because they weren't marked as such.
If any knowledgeable Az members like jackpot or cue addicts would chime in, I would appreciate that very much.

Certainly looks like a Libra cue to me.........

Rudie, I tried to send you a PM but it says your quota is full.

For what its worth, I've owned 4 of them, no doubt in my mind. Does it have the ivory insert in the end of the pin?

I like Libra Cues

This one looks like they chose to elongate the proings by using very much of the blank. Is it a 4 solid point spain blank.
I had one with a brass pin that had no ivory insert. It was one of the last 3 made. Very nice.

libra

Thanks Nick,
I really don't know about the forearm being a Spain or not, maybe someone more knowledgeable on that subject could provide some info. If I can figure out how to get in touch with Jack Potter, here on AZ, maybe he can shed a little light on that subject.
All I can say is that it has very nice, and very even, and long points. The forearm pics have a lot of reflection from my camera, but in real life the ebony is jet black, and the curly in the points is much better than the pics show..
I bought this cue recently from the original purchaser, who is no longer able to play.
Saturday, AZ member Rodcar and I took the cue out, and shot about 5 games of 8 ball, on a bar box with it. We were both amazed at the balance of the cue, and the firmness of the hit. No vibration whatsoever.
Between the two of us, there aren't many cues we haven't owned, own, or tried, but it was the first time either of us had the chance to try out a Libra, and to say the least, we were both impressed, even with the old dried up tips it came with.
thanks

Wow!

Had the privilege of shooting this cue recently and took a couple pictures of the long points, pin and butt. Cue is dead straight and a flawless player Both shafts real nice. One has a linen base ferrule and the other is micarta. If someone buys my Southwest this cue will be mine. Here it is.

nice cue.....better pics

No worries.....def a Libra. Points don't look to be Spain to me. Way to long, wrong geometry.

Rudie,
I got your PM & I will take it. I just sent you the paypal payment over.
Thanks
Shane
