Lifting a GC4

Our basement got some flood damage and the flooring needs to be replaced.

The floor guy said one end needs to be lifted about 1/2", replace floor section, set back down. Then do the same with the other end.

Can this be done without screwing the table up? How and where would you lift it?

I would pick mine up under the legs, maybe a floor jack with a piece of wood on top to protect the wood legs.

I would not do that ^^^^^

If you are going to use a jack, use the proper one and make sure it is under the frame and NOT the legs, those are plywood and will break them in my opinion. Just my 2 cents.

Thats definitely a better idea if you have a jack that will work. I lifted mine under the legs but like Trent said the plywood is fragile. I cant stress enough how careful you must be if you try it that way but I was successful in lifting it that way. I was afraid of splitting the seams if if I picked mine up anywhere else other than the area that the table had been resting on. Trent would definitely know more than me about this subject.

Table

I do remember awhile back john Palmer had a nice GC frame style dolly system to lift the table as one and roll it with minimal effort.

Be safe
