I Know This Has Been Hashed Over On Az But I Can't Find Parabolic Lens At Lowe's Or Home Depot As Refeered In Other Post. Any More Suggestions ? I'm Thinking About Putting Up 2 - 8 Foot Shop Lights, That Have Hoods On Them, Side By Side And Build A Light Weight Frame Around Them Where I Can Slide The Lens (if I Can Find Them) Into. Bad Idea ? I Need All The Light I Can Get.

I built a light and got the diffusers from Menard's. They were in a goofey place not by the light department at all. You might have to ask someone. They are like 2' x 4'. They are also kind of pricey for what they are. I think they were like $30 each if I remember right. They work well though.

Those grids are near the drop ceiling parts and panels back by the lumber section at Home Depot if you have one near you. As I recall, less expensive then Menards.

I built my own light fixture that uses 2 eight foot 110w HO bulbs and found some very nice parabolic diffusers that have larger squares than the less expensive panels you find at Menards. If you are interested, I can look up the Mfg name and phone number. I found that my candlewatt readings went from 90 on the edges of the table down to 75 when I added diffusers so they do cut down on total light output but they do eliminate the blinding glare when you are playing or approaching the table.
