 :frown:[ Greg. Still no good news from the mailman, as of 09/16/2010, the Justis case is still M.I.A. Hoping for the best from the USPS. I'll keep you posted.

Just wondering if.........

Anybody who particpated in this raffle received this case by mistake? The raffle ended Sept 3rd, and I have yet to receive the case...The raffler claims he shipped the case on Sept. 8th via USPS Parcel Post, and I have no reason to doubt him based upon his reputation. It is now September 18th, and I'm beginning to think the case is a goner/lost cause! Any help or information as to the whereabouts of this case is mosdef appreciated. Thanks to all in advance.
Regards.

Parcel post is the inexpensive way to ship, and I have had things take over 4 weeks to be delivered, even when they are in the CONUS. So since it has only been 10 days, it still could be on its parcel post way. I think the USPS uses carrier pigeons to deliver Parcel post, and do you know how many of those pigeons it takes to pick up a Justis case?:grin-square::eek:

Any tracking to check to see where it is at? I mean it only costs 70 cents - cheapest peace of mind out there.

Hope you get the case soon!!!!

RAFFLE IS FULL AND WILL RUN FRIDAY 9/3/2010!!! Good Luck!!!Up for raffle is a like new 2000 Jack Justis 2X4 "Tube Style" case with Real Python Diamond Inlays on both pockets. This case has the gold embossed striping, shoulder pad on carry strap, "8 Ball" Embossed tip tapper pouch.
Everything works as new on this case, is has never been used to carry cues. It was literally only used for cue storage and sat inside a fireproof gunsafe. There are a couple of small scuffs on the case that can hardly even be seen in the pictures. Here is an opportunity to get an old style tube case which Jack will not make anymore. Please feel free to PM with any questions you might have.

In the opening post for this raffle, it was stated that the shipping method would be by way of USPS Priority Mail, with insurance.....The case was then shipped USPS Parcel Post after the raffle ended, NOT priority as stated in the opening raffle post.....Not cool. 15 days later, still no case! I do NOT want this to sound like a flame, because I AM grateful for the raffle, and the opportunity to have won this case. I would however recommend for future rafflers, that you say what you'll do, and do what you say! Part of charging a certain fee per spot IMO, should not only be based on the item in question, but also an expectation from the potential winner, that the item will arrive safely, and in a timely manner. I do realize that these raffles are a little work for the raffler, and that is a reality that is not lost on this member, and appreciated. However, if you're going to take the time to conduct one, at the very least follow through with not only your commitment, but also honor the very raffle rules, and post raffle conditions that you describe......Again this is JMHO, and absolutely NO offense is intended.

Doesn't sound too unreasonable to expect what is advertised. If it were a free raffle, take what you get. But when money is involved, its not unreasonable to expect what is bartered.

Sounds OK to me!!!

I think you are in your every right to be pissed!!!!! It is really sad to see people that cannot follow-up with what they have said they would, especially when the extra cash for priority and insurance is very little compared to the total cash taken by a raffle priced correctly.
And offense should be taken - BY ALL THE ONES THAT ENTERED THE RAFFLE, and by all raffle runners that could be tarnished by this action.

It is difficult enough to sell a cue nowadays, even fill a raffle with good pricing, so this publicity is not needed. Now this is just another negative side of raffles, and it could really hurt the good apples that run their raffles well, and follow-up with great service EVEN AFTER the money has gone into their account.
Hate to hear about stuff like this - it just isn't good.

Hypothetical question - So if the case never shows up, would you be sent ALL the earnings made from the raffle, or does the raffler need to replace with a like item?

Always wondered about that!!

JMHO - Michael

So...since there were inaccurate statements (delivery) in the original post on how this raffle is carried out, this raffle should be invalid and we should get our money back. J/K

Well, the OP did take a 4 days to notify the winner that he actually won. Maybe he is too busy. Hopefully it was accidentaly rerouted, but it is actually on its way to the winner.

I hope you receive the case soon...maybe it was just an oversight in the OP's first post about the delivery.

Justis Case

Please be patient until I can get back in town to check on this. I will call you tomorrow if you will send me your contact information. Like I stated earlier this week I am out of town at a conference and there isn't much I can do from where I am at. Thanks for your understanding, and we will get it figured out ASAP.

The case was 100 percent sent to the correct address.

Thanks again,
Greg

As the person with the most money invested in this raffle, I would have to agree with Michael. The money he saved in shipping is nothing compared to the money the OP will have to spend to replace the case.
I have also seen Parcel Post packages take 3 to 4 weeks to be delivered.
I'm sure the case will get there.
I also think this could have been handled in private rather than on public display.

Yes I agree,
Greg has been a gentleman throughout, and my intentions are not to smear. The reason for my post was nothing more than to suggest to future rafflers that they follow through, and honor the terms they describe. Including methods of shipment. I hold no ill will towards Greg whatsoever.
Regards.

As I stated LP, I'm disappointed that the case isn't here....yet. Hopefully it will come soon. I'm not mad at Greg/C.O. Nineballer. He has been a gentleman. Just wish this would've been shipped Priority, not Parcel. I do realize raffles are a little work, and I am appreciative that he offered up this case...
All the best.

Thanks for the update C.O.
Still holding out hope that the USPS doesn't give me a "shaft", instead of a case. Lol!

Happy Birthday!!!

Finally, I would like to applogize and give an explanation for sending the case via usps (Unusually Slow Package Shipment) instead of Priority. I have been traveling alot and had a buddy that I do alot of cue deals with ship the case for me. He asked the lady at the post office when the case would be delivered priority and was told that next Tuesday. When he asked about Parcel Post, she said Wednesday. So he, looking out for me and not thinking one day would make a difference sent it Parcel Post. It was never my intention to deviate from what was listed on the Raffle, it was just a misunderstanding between my buddy and myself. J2Pac, I really am sorry to have put you through the stress and if you are ever in Denver, you have a standing offer of all the free beers you can drink.(in one sitting of course). All other AZer's including the ones that are so quick to jump on people and start to slander reputations before knowing ALL the facts. rest assured if I run another auction, the product will ship EXACTLY as the post reads.

Cant say enough about how professional J2Pac handled the situation. I highly reccomend him for any transactions.

Thanks
Greg
