Is there a video of it in use? Looked at their website but don’t see that product anywhere.

I don't know if there's a video, but it's simplistic: slide your grip hand against the wall as your tip goes between the uprights - use the left or right side depending on your stroking hand.

This stroke trainer is made from a CNC linear rail, which has become a commodity on eBay for about $50.

I believe this is the type of setup @Bob Jewett would call coupled, and would not work for spin shots.
I went back and watched this again, over and over. Tried to actually pay attention, instead of just watching the girl. I see a lot of potential benefits to using this device, for training. Not so much for a home table, but for a club or academy type setting. In a pool hall, I'd rope off a corner table and charge extra for that table, giving lessons. The template on the floor, the green laser running straight up the forearm, there is a lot going on here. Stance, alignment, shot picture, vision center, in addition to the stroke. I'd use it for the mighty X drill. Have the student shoot with the trainer, get a good feel for it. Then step over and shoot at the other corner. Trying to recreate the shot, on your own. Repeat as necessary. Adjusting on the vertical, for follow or draw, after mastering center ball. This thing looks like it would work great.

She needs someone to hold a light behind her so she can use her shadow as a guide.

Otherwise she will need instructions verbally.

The worse cheaters are in a poolroom.
