We have beer and wine only. Manytimes people have asked us why we don't have hard liquor. Money for the license is #1 but, my husband and I didn't want to work in that environment. We're simple folk.
Truth be told, I would certainly indulge with a cosmopolitan if we sold hard liquor since I don't like beer--but, alcohol impairs my pool playing anyway.

Your poll is incomplete, many states have a Beer only license. This allows the room owner to keep their establishment all ages. I currently use this license myself and it costs me $125 per year. This license come under the title of a Snack Bar license in Washington State. In this state if you serve anything except Beer minors must be out by 9:00 pm.

In North Carolina we hold all permits. Costs me 1300 a yr. One nights sales.
Smoking is permitted but we provide a non-smoking area for both pool and poker. Wish the state would go non-smoking. Maybe next year.

We have a Restaurant & Bar

We have a full service bar......hard pops jump the cost of the license up to $2K but, we couldn't operate without it  We can have minors in our restaurant and pool room until 9 p.m. ;)
