Drivermaker Holiday Invitational Update (scores in order of posting)

Well, here are the scores so far. I encourage everyone to compete - measure yourself against your fellow members (and hopefully against some of the pro's). If you don't want to assess your pool skills, then perhaps you should take up knitting instead.

Remember there is a prize for the winner from Drivermaker.

First prize = $50,000 cash, 2005 Corvette convertible, and all-expense paid trip to Bermuda.
Would you believe $10,000, a Volkswagen beetle, and bus fare to Atlanta?? Would you believe a free postage stamp, a Hot wheels Corvette, and directions to the bus station??

I hope this thread lasts a while because I would love to chime in but with two kids under the age of 4, it is tough for me to get out and practice. Might take a while but I will gladly share my scores to see where I stack up. I printed out the rules so as soon as I can, I will begin torturing myself :(

Thanks,
Koop

I'll do the full 10 this weekend, but I haven't had the time to do but two lately!!

I second this notion. I don't have kids, but have been too busy lately. Every time I try to practice, somebody says "Wanna play some?". I do intend to give it a try, post my scores, and embarass myself as soon as I get some time.

Peace

Anyone who isn't gutless

Just a couple of weeks ago a regular player at the Palace (local pool hall) refused to respond when the gauntlet was thrown down, so a few of us decided to list the organs he must be missing or physical abnormalities he suffers for this to take place. A brief list.

No guts (gutless)
No heart ( not the same as heartless)
No backbone
No Cahones(Not gender neutral)
Thin skinned
Weak in the knees
S**t for brains

Sooo…what is “gutless”? The exhibition of gutless behavior may merely be an indicator of numerous other complicating conditions (see the short list above). When an individual or group of people (i.e. non-participants) begin to display symptoms of gutlessness just to be safe we should assume that all the above deficiencies ("not gender neutral" condition only when appropriate) are applicable until otherwise indicated. Luckily we live in an age when the miracle of the internet can heal the suffering, vanquish the stigma and transform “gutless wonders” into “players that have game” simply by participating in the Drivermaker Holiday Invitational.

Obviously mere participation in the invitational does not guarantee a total absence of any of the above deficiencies, for instance I must have shit for brains to post something like this!

breakup,
LMAO!!! I think you have pretty much summed it up. Suck it up guys - ignore your family/job/friends if you must, just post your scores by Christmas (or perhaps we should extend it to New Years, as players may have some time to play over the holidays).

I vote to extend through new years weekend. I’m just getting started; heck I’m still looking for a temporary wife and kids to neglect for the holiday season in favor of this event.
