Recently, while recovering from the flu, I was sitting at home watching some of the videos in my collection and was going over the video by Joe V called KICK SHOTS. His kicking systems are the nuts. I don't know if there is a better video out there for kicking.

In watching this particular video, I was paying a lot more attention than usual and noticed that for the same two rail kicking system, the corner pocket NUMBER changes for different cue ball positions. This is a little different for "diamond systems", so if any of you are watching this video, it goes kind of quick but is one of the MOST IMPORTANT components of his kicking system. Without this understand of how the number changes you cannot execute properly. With this understanding, YOU CAN BE DEADLY ACCURATE.

I really shouldn't put this type of information out there. The players are getting better and better everyday and I can hardly keep up anymore.

To Joe V: Joe,
Your videos will make any player a better player. The videos are attractively designed and contain some great overlays but in the future I would love to see additional "still frames" identifying the numbers of the diamonds and the cue ball positions etc. along with some of the pretty girls that always seem to follow you around. The cue ball control video is top shelf!

For those interested, you can see the videos Joe has for sale at www.pooliq.net

I very much agree I used Joe's video a few years ago and also wrote a glowing review. I think that with his work and Freddie the Beard's work learning to kick is simplified a great deal.

Lil Joe is also a great teacher.

Hmmmm

WOW. I just got done watching this a few days ago and was about to post it. Excellent video, worth every penny. Watched it twice to really understand it, then watched it the third time in my basement next to the pool table, and would hit pause and try his stuff on the table, then go back. It really sank in at that point.

I"m not ususally a pushover to say something is really good because most times they are not, but this KICKING video is the Stone Cold Freaking Nuts. If you are currently anything less than a Fabulous Kicker, this will help your game a ton. I met him last year at DCC and pretty darn nice guy to boot.

Couldn't agree more Joey! I have the pleasure of having Joe locally in my home room and have to face his arsenal every match. Its real hard to get ball in hand in our room due to his influence.

The Pool I.Q. series he has/is putting together really breaks it down for the average player to find success. Basically the statement made in this thread that the videos are "the freakin nuts" is correct.

Visit his website www.pooliq.net and order your set today, and be on the look out for volume 3!

Last year Little Joe had a booth at the Derby. If he is there this year be sure to stop by, say HI and buy his DVD's. Money well invested. As a bonus if you are lucky you may get Joe to give you a few tips.

lil joe is a great guy

lil joe has giving some lessons to my son that is 8 yrs old and he is going to shoot at derby city in the banks and yes lil joe will be there his dvds will improve your game its amazing and very easy to rember

Scott Welter (Welter Pictures)

It's really nice to hear the positive comments about Joe V's videos. I know what I see and I know what I know. When people like you who I have never met, confirm what I observe in these videos, it makes me feel good inside.

I was watching the cue ball position video today and the path of the cue ball is very predictable by Joe's finite and mathematically accurate method of shooting.

Like what one of the other posters said, if you are anything less than a FABULOUS kicker, his Kick Shot video will make you a far better one. I'll take it a step further and say that if you are anything less than a FABULOUS position player, his Cue Ball Control video will make you far better than you currently are.

I'm sure there are some people who cringe at the thought of everyone knowing what Joe teaches in his videos but I'm not one of them. I just think that Joe deserves to be rewarded for his hard work in developing these techniques and the video.

Speaking of the video, Welter Pictures does a FANTASTIC job of filming and producing. Scott Welter produces some great computer graphics to illustrate Joe's systems.

Joe V and his Videos

I have alot to say about this program...I am new to the pool world and league play.

I was introduced to Joe and his videos at State Tournament one year when I passed his booth. I was so intrigued by what he offered and what he was telling me, yet could not believe that what he was showing would work.

I was not a player at the time, only spectating. But right there at his booth he took the time to 'show me'...that I could do this. A 3 rail kick using extended diamonds, is what he told me I was gonna do. I was certain this guy was outa his mind, first of all I did not understand a word of what he said...but with cue in hand and minimal instruction, I hit the shot and made it! THATS how good Joe is at instructing! Its all downhill from there..

I have since bought both DVD's and study them religiously. I have joined a league and have improved each week, I practice 3-4 times per week when my schedule allows it..and that is ALL I think about...not just pool but POOLIQ!

Not only that, but I have had the privilege of having Joe instruct me personally, he has given me several lessons and from each lesson I have been able to improve my techniques. Don't get me wrong, the videos are AWESOME, everyone should own them...but what you learn and gain from him when he stands right next to you, is immeasurable! That in combination with the Videos are a recipe for success!

Cordially,
kjct

Oh great, another DVD that I gotta buy??? :p

I'm gonna be DVD-poor soon! :embarrassed2:

Seriously, I'm really wanting to get these. And VEPS. And Pro-One. wahhhh

This is gonna be high on my list, for sure.

{A hint for you prolific DVD-ers out there... how about a thread listing DVD's that you would consider "valuable"? A shopping list as it were... to help others like me go broke-uh, make sure they know what "the good ones" are so they can prioritize purchases. Perhaps stickied in the "Ask The Instructor" sub-forum?}

The website looked cool, too. Saving my pennies!

They are great video's, I reccomend them to everyone. Joe did one hell of a job with those video's, they are not fancy, but the quality of the content is perhaps the best of any pool videos ever produced. The areas of pool that Joe teaches in his videos is the BEST information out there period.

Lil Joe is going to be at DCC. I did get to talk to Joe tonight he is really lookin forward to going. Everyone needs to stop by his booth. Im sure he WILL show you somthing you dont know!!!

I'm going to review the kicking video ASAP. I will immediately get any video Lil Joe puts without even reading a review. Everything he says and shows is simple & solid!!

joe is really spilling the beans with these videos.....he is a super nice guy and can get that cue ball to go anywhere he wants on the table and he is not shy to so you how he does it.....
joe worked long and hard to get the videos up and going.....
hats off to little joe,

lucky

I was lucky to have joe work with me on my pool game.
It helped me greatly on my way to winning the nationals at riverside last year. THANKS JOE FOR ALL THE HELP YOU HAVE GIVEN ME TO DO THIS.

I just got off the phone with Little Joe & we had a discussion about this thread. He can't hide the pride he gets from threads like this. I've known Joe for quite a while now & he is genuinely thrilled when people benefit from what he teaches...he's gives so much to the local players & those that buy his DVDs.

Here's another example of Joe's giving nature...Joe has asked me to demonstrate how his 2-rail kicking system works...right here on AZB. I am CONFIDENT that you will be highly motiviated to seek out his coaching or DVDs after this...please give me a few moments to draft it up.
