Little John not only dumped a stakehorse for $20,000 but he wrote a guy in a wheelchair a bad check for $500 two days after
winning the guy's $20,000 by a conspiracy of dump artists. This young man has a fine future it seems.

you obviously don't know little jon...he is a nice guy and is great for the game of pool...as far as i know this is the first time he has ever had a problem with anyone...for the people that don't know him this kid has plenty of cash and would not put his reputation and potential action on the line for 10,000...he is way above that in my opinion and loves the competition too much for something like this...i'm not sure what all happened..but there are 2 sides to every story and for just one to be heard just is not fair...i'm sure the guy probably did think he was getting dumped because he has taken a ton of players to play jon and has won a ton of money from him...but jon has improved a bunch in the last few years and is beating some good players now....i don't care what anyone says..i for one don't think he would have a part in something like this...i don't know him that well but i have been around him a good bit and he's a class act

Always 2 sides......to the coin! And alot of things go on behind the sceens that ya never see. I have heard alotta good things about him too. But ya never know.....it happens more than ya think.

Is it true that Little John and Erman played for 3 and 4 dimes before this transpired, llike 2 days before? I had heard that these two guys were playing for more money several days before, and that they played two or three times. There would be no reason to play sets for less money than they were several days before and then dump.

I don't think there was any dumping going on here. Sounds like the stakehorse didn't want to give up the cheese when he saw he was going to lose (IMO).

The polygraph looks for abrupt increases in heart rate, blood pressure and perspiration. The polygraph is, therefore, a highly reliable detector of orgasms. But does it detect lies? Only if you’re lying about having an orgasm. After a hundred years of exonerating the likes of Aldrich Ames and ruining the careers of nameless thousands, the Wen Ho Lee case led the Administration to call for a huge expansion of polygraph testing. To its credit, the DOE called instead for testing the polygraph. The National Academy of Sciences convened a study panel, and its report was released this week. The report confirms that no spy has ever been caught using the polygraph. "Too many loyal employees may be falsely judged deceptive, or too many major security threats could go undetected," the report said, warning against reliance on the tests. The next day, New Mexico senators, Jeff Bingamen (D)and Pete Domenici (R), called on DOE to abolish the tests. And that’s no lie."

P.S. Let's get this straight. Lil Jon is suppose to have cut up 20K and 2 days later he floats a bad check for $500? Not even Lil Jon goes broke that fast. "Red Nose" needs to get "HIS" story straight.

Sounds like a great name for a book, "Who Moved My Cheese?"

There's already a book by that name, and the review on Amazon goes like this: The book amplifies feelings of rejection and betrayal by the faceless "Cheese Removers". It raises many questions like, "What if I was counting on that cheese for future use", but offers no answer other than you've got to go out and find more "cheese" for yourself, even though everything you had was just taken from you for no apparent reason.

It wasn't 'a guy' in a wheelchair,it was my good friend and Planet 9-Ball owner Ken Miller. And, it wasn't two days 'after' winning $20,000, it was two months BEFORE. Lil John keeps blah, blah, blahing about paying off the check, but he hasn't yet.
He knew that he didn't have the cash to cover the check, but he wrote a 'bad check', ANYWAY. It wasn't a gambling debt, it was for CASH. Now, Lil John keeps making promises, but he didn't/hasn't/wouldn't send Kenny the money. He has excuses, but they don't float... imo
How about THIS: stop payment on the bad check and send Kenny a $500 MONEY ORDER. If the bank or anyone else tries to make a claim against the 'bad check',simply show them the carbon copy of the M.O. or give them Kenny's phone number to verify that you've paid it/him off.
I bet that if Kenny owed LIL JOHN the $500, Lil John would have a dozen inventive ways to accept/get/receive the money.
If and when Lil John pays off this months old debt, I'll get online and say what a swell, honest, upright fellow he is.

LilJohn came to atlanta and played a friend of mine some one pocket. He asked if he could keep some money to get home on. He said he would send the monry as soon as he got back home. 6 months later and i guess he still hasent gotten there yet. LOL Lesson to be learned make him post and dont believe a word about the money. shoot em straight.

I was looking something up on the calendar today and realized that Lil John Macais (sp) wrote his bad check around June first.
So, Lil John has been jerking my friend Kenny around for FIVE MONTHS. Apparently, he's never been BOPped on the nose... imo
Send the money John (and clear your poolplaying credit line. your Beacon score is down 100 points). Tampa Tubby-Bob

There isn't a champion around that hasn't stiffed someone here or there, so why would a little puke like liljon be any different.

I have names in my notebook of people that owe me money and EVERYONE on this board would know half of them for sure. I'm not bitching about it, just saying that's the nature of the beast (pool players) and what you have to deal with sometimes when you deal with players. I get my money whenever I get it, I've dealt with them my whole life so I know what's going on. I feel sorry for the average joe that gets crapped on by them, you'd be suprised who some of them are.

It's one of the reasons a really serious professional tour will never happen, at least for a long time or if it does it'll go in the pooper soon. Regular people see how treacherous MOST of the players are and get screwed constantly by different ones and they get a sour taste in their mouth and just give up and don't deal with pool anymore.

Playing pool is a cutthroat business, champions included and they try to survive how they can. Many are just a step up from a bag lady on the street. Regular people are so disallusioned about what "PROS" make it's a joke.

Liljon is well on his way to being the degenerate he wants to be and looks up to. I've sent money down to an old guy he was playing in mobile this year so I do have a little insight, and before you ask......yes I got paid back.....plus. He'll be another tramp in the pool world if he sticks with it, trust me.

Amen, Steve. My friend and roomowner Ken Miller didn't know Lil John from the man in the moon. I would come back from one of my many trips to the Corner Pocket in New orleans or Breakers in Mobile and tell stories of all the action going on. Lil John was a 'high roller' in in many of the tales. At the end of May, Lil John and a buddy came through Tampa looking for action. The didn't find any and moved on south. Ken Miller is a BIG supporter of pool, leagues, tournaments, etc. and a decent, honest, trusting person. There is owing money from gambling, borrowing money to gamble (which might not get paid back until you/they make a score) giving or getting a walking stick or jellyroll and playing on air or a 'suitcase game.' BUT, knowing that you don't have any money to cover a $500 check and then writing it just for the CASH is pure lowdown theft. Making excuses and keeping a decent person waiting for FIVE months to make the check good is inexcusable. If I bump into Lil John in N.O. or Mobile (or anywhere else) and the check hasn't been paid, I'm going to take it out of his ass... imo

The best and funniest and humiliating thing you could do to him is wait till he's playing and walk up and slap him in the face, people tend to remember someone getting slapped more than punched. Sucks that you would have to do that but............they ask for it.

Tell my pal Richie R that I said hello and miss him around Detroit. He's one kid you don't have to worry about, always trying to create action and will always take care of you, trust me you can't go wrong doing things with him.....he learned the old ways. Make sure you tell him I said he sucks as 9-ball partner though.

Stevelomako, I think you may be kidding about a slap in the face. I do think a bad-check debt is inexcusable.

The door swings both ways. Some backers seem to forget how to count after a BIG win, and to the pool player being backed, "everything isn't funny when they are winning that big money," especially when the backer doesn't chop up the winnings fairly.

After you bust a pool player for all his dough, some will give the guy a bone, never wanting to leave a fellow pool player broke. The bone is just an extended courtesy and not expected to be paid back. And others will not leave the guy a bone, but will "loan" him a couple hundred bucks to get out of town, after cleaning his pockets.

Personal loans are different, and I agree with everything else in your post. Can't imagine, though, someone in Detroit getting slapped in the face and not responding negatively. In this day and age, I would hate to think how some would respond to that physical slap in some of the places I have frequented.

How do you think money should be chopped up? Just curious. Sounds like you've dealt with Ronnie Wiseman before cause you used his line.
It is funny how a guy gets staked and lose's and HE gets the bone.
We argue all the time about what's fair to both but the stakehorse ALWAYS has the biggest risk. We've come to the conclusion that players should NEVER get half but after that we don't agree, some think 40%, personally I think 25% maybe 30. If you're betting on the side and win we usually give 20% although most people like to not give anything.

Back to Liljon.......on a site they've been talking on (nola.com) he even says he couldn't not say he hasn't dumped before because he would be lying if he said he hasn't!!!!!!!!

How would YOU have liked to have staked him before, lost and now read that kind of stuff.......now you start thinking....is it ME he dumped? Kids a real dumbass. THAT'S why I said maybe he needs to be slapped, because if he keeps it up alot worse things are gonna happen to him down the road because he's definately not smart enough to keep him mouth shut and just let people suspect things........he squeels on himself.

Steve

Steve, understand this. I defend NOONE on this subject but Lil Jon is accused of CATCHING not dumping in this specific incident. THE CHECK SHOULD BE PAID JON.

Ohhhhhh, I'm sorry Bill. I didn't know it was allright to...TAKE...a dump.

Stupid me.....I thought PITCHING and CATCHING meant they were both pieces of shit.
