Hello all,
I have a ustream account now. I have a good external microphone. I also have a new computer, Mac to be precise. I saw the new steam section of the forum and had an idea. This idea would depend completely on drsnooker. He has the only decent snooker table that I know of. If drsnooker is up to it I propose a live snooker match to be streamed on ustream with an opponent that is willing to come to houston. The date would be far in advance for both parties to prepare for the pressure of a live match. I floated the idea on the stream forum and now I am doing it here. Drsnooker if your place isn't cool we could try to do it at Caspers but I don't know if they have broadband.

This event would be the first of its kind in North American. That's what makes it so darn intriguing.

What say you?
 
I'd watch.... oh wait a minute sounds like I have to play.
I did buy my own webcam, but it turned out to be another piece of cr@p so I'm biting the bullet and buying a high def one. And was thinking about recording my weekly games and cutting and pasting some of the shots together to give to mnorwood and put on youtube. Something a little more advanced stuff than talkig about the basics but more like a tutorial on tactics, ball selection and break building.
Anyway, out of the 5 hours we (mnorwood and I) played last weekend, may be 30 minutes total was probably interesting for people to watch live. I'd definitely love to have a high caliber player over and whoop my b#tt into shape, so no objections there. Just not sure what the online audience would be, that will be able to tolerate more than 5 minutes of two amateurs going at it. Now if you'd get Quinton to play Ronnie or something that'd be sweet. I could sell tickets to it in person *laughs*
