I didn't see it, but I doubt anyone would choose to attempt scratching in the side while trying to extract a hung ball, rather than scratch in the same pocket or just remove the ball.

I'm with you there, but then I'm afraid Busty will be playing even tighter as well... kind of a double edge sword in that manner. Busty has been on fire in one pocket over the last few months.
What's the bet on this one anyway? It's not on the flyer, not sure if I over looked it somewhere either.
You saw it and I didnt. But I dont think even the pags could play that to intentionally scratch in the side with any reasonably successful %.
But I guess 'reasonable %' is defined diffferently, as per the bet..

How many times has Alex lost on his break, close to six? He’s free wheeling here and having a good time. He is definitely not trying 100% to grind out a win over three nights.
The rematch I’d like to see is Busty vs. T-Rex.
Alex was trying to get the ball out...scratching involved jacking up and sending the ball off the table.
It was an outrageous fluke....followed by a three ball out that was fantastic.
The table is very damp...a bunch of Alex’s bread-and-butter shots aren’t working.
The scratch was bizarre. From what I saw it was not planned and I think Alex's reaction confirms that. But if he is on a lie detector and it substantiates that he played it that way--I "might" change my mind.

Through 2 days, Pagulayan has won 7 of 15 times on his own break; Bustamante has won 8 of 14 on his.
He has been doing fine with 1P even before this match. Insightful, a good voice and non intrusive. JMHO

Thanks for the stats, At Large. I figured his win percentage was pretty weak, but less than 50% speaks volumes.
