LIVE Scoreboard at World 8ball Pool in Dubai

Jeff De Luna just went ahead of Souquet 3 to 2. Only Alan Quartero is losing to Ibrahim Bin Amir. But then Ibrahim used to be a Filipino too.

Jeff De Luna now ahead 4 to 2 against Souquet. Hope he can sustain the lead up to the end.

The 3rd set of players now on the LIVE scoreboard. Interesting matches there between Jasim Ouschan and Al Juneebi (whoever he is), Joven Bustamante vs. Marcus Chamat and Corey Deuel vs Darren Appleton. The Brits having a miserable day so far with Daryl Peach and Chris Meiling losing their first games.

Jeff-DeLuna.jpg

Jeff De Luna won over the Kaiser, Ralf Souquet, winning 8 games to 5. Other notable matches were
Konstantin Stepanov's loss to Kasper Kristofferson (8-6), Jasmine Ouschan's win over Saleem Al
Juneebi (8-5), Joven Bustamante's loss to Marcus Chamat (8-5), Corey Deuel's win over
Darren Appleton (8-4) and Oliver's Ortmann's whitewash win (8-zip) over Matt Edwards.

LIVE scoreboard is stuck at 5 to 2 with Ronnie Alcano behind Liu BUT I just found out that Alcano came from behind to win 8 to 6. He is now officially in the FINAL 32 stage. So far out of the 10 Filipinos, 7 managed to win their first games with only Alan Cuartero, Israel Rota and Joven Bustamante losing (to Marcus Chamat).

LIVE scoring will resume again tomorrow. Highlight for me is the SVB vs Roberto 'Superman' Gomez match-up which will be at 8 am US EST tomorrow morning. However, other matches will start at 6 am.

this might have been talked about already.

i've wondered for years why live scoreboards isn't the norm at about any tournament with some dignity, or those who just want to. do promoters and the like really believe it will make potential income out of their pockets? it is so easy and cheap to deliver this service to us enthusiasts, i don't understand. the tourney sections here on azb would make a great place to link'em up. someone enlighten me.

I'm getting ready for the big show: Cowboy Gomez versus Fastest Gun in the West Shane.

All I can say is:

USA, all the way.

USA, All the Way.

USA, ALL THE WAY, I SAY!

we'll have to wait that long?? ;)
:o Hahaha I was just testing if you were paying attention. Anyway, the LIVE scoreboard is now up for today's matches per this link below:

http://www.wpa-tour.com/scoreboard.asp

The SVB vs ROBERTO 'SUPERMAN' GOMEZ is already on board but will not start until about 8 am US est after the first 6 matches have concluded.

Well, WU just demolished his opponent 8 to zero and the crown prince is almost on his way out trailing 1 to 6. Only another hour or less to go before the SVB vs GOMEZ match.

Would be great if we could watch this live on SOPCAST.

I know what you mean. Watching those little red dots blinking on the live scoreboard doesn't have quite the same excitement. :o

Well it just gets worse and worse for the Prince Billah:D :D

He is also known as the following names on this thread

"toolbag":D
"the clown":D
"douchbag":D
"retard":D

He lost his second consecutive game in th 8 ball championships booting him out of the competition on day 2.

The Prince lost 8-1 to Bruno Muratore of Italy

So he basically won 2 games for the whole of the tournament...GOOD GOING PRO PRINCE BILLAH:D :D

Maybe he had a bad day again, but tournament after tournament the same thing happens.

I suggest he plays in the handicap for retards 8 ball champions, (no discrespecting those fine player as well, they play great inspite of what they've got). Maybe he might win a game.

I think its time for the WPA to do something about this because its gone beyond a side show.

Well, I think the Prince is an okay guy. So what if he ain't Efren Reyes. He may be one of the best his country has to offer.

If the man has passion for pool, then he can't be such a bad guy. In fact, he is one of us, someone who cares about this sport. Let him have his day in the sun.

Everyone can have their own opinions about the Prince, and that is okay. I just don't like to read the mean-spirited comments about someone who likes pool as much as we do. That's all. :)

Superman is going down. I heard that Shane was given some kryptonite, but he turned it away. He said he doesn't need anything to beat Superman on this fine Sunday. Superman is going down.

Twenty-five more minutes until it's doom for the Filipino champion. :D

"Let him have his day in the sun"????

You're joking:eek: :eek:

He's had his day in the sun for 4 years on TV making him look like a laughing stock.:mad: :mad:

Last place in this year's tournament pocketed $800. That money should have been to a pro pool player who sweats blood and tears not a billionaire clown wannabe:mad: :mad:

I understand your thoughts. However, for most players I know, $800 is a drop in the bucket when it comes to the expenses it takes to go to somewhere like Fujairah. It doesn't even cover the bar tab for some players. :o

You say he is a laughing stock. Meanwhile, he is giving it his all, trying to be the best that he can be. Maybe someday he will advance and improve. Then we'll see who has the last laugh! :p

I say let him shine. I am sure he has invested a lot more than money into pool, and if he is trying to be a professional player, let me continue along his merry way. Who knows, he may someday surprise us all. :)

I can't forget Ronnie Wiseman. He's playing this round, too.

Go, Ronnie, go.

Ronnie and Shane will save the day.

Let's get it going! :D

The red lights are blinking, and they're off.
