Live Stream: Sweet Tooth, AZ 10's Only Tourney

Mike O'hara, the owner of Sweet Tooth, vs Muaz "PakistaniPirate" Arshad right now

Sweeth Tooth I will guess is just a flash in the pan, as I stopped by last weekend to look see, again the table was filthy, and Ball were filthy, and honestly at 4 p.m. it was dead. The are not advertising any events in the local Pool papers so I don't understand how they will survive very long.

What a guy. Always something positive to say.

If the truth hurts that is too bad.

I personally see zero reason not to brush or vacuum the tables frequently, and clean the balls frequently. Hell they got nice Diamond Table, but they are like diamonds in the ruff before cutting, and polishing.

Their ads on this web-site says they are open 24 hours a day. That is not true, the phone number is not answered, and honestly as they have voice mail IMHO they should set it up IMHO with a minimum information like hours of operation.

Hell even when the ad you "CLICK" on their ad on the link above it says nothing about the actually hours they are open.

Honestly I am not going to drop $.75/Game to play on dirty bar boxes, when I can drive down the road most weeks days, and play on clean bar box for the cost of a few drinks

all day.

Bruce:

Even though you personally may not have been satisfied with this new place, what good does it do to come on here and bash it? Are you intentionally trying to hurt their business? If so, why? What does that accomplish? If there are other places you like better, then you could just go to those places and stay away from this one. I'm sure the owner didn't spend tens of thousands of dollars (or more) to open a new business and then turn around and run it into the ground; and I'm even more sure he didn't open it for YOUR pleasure. Most likely, you just walked in at a bad time. Yours is the first negative report I've heard on this place; all of the others have been positive.

Have a nice day, sir.

The only reason I saw CooCoo's post is because you quoted it(he is on ignore :)). I can tell you one thing for sure. I don't miss reading his pointless dribble.

Sweetthooth's is a very nice place and they take care of their equipment. As a matter of fact the last time I was in there they were in the process of polishing all of the balls and when someone brought their balls back to the counter the guy walked over and wiped down the table. I have NEVER seen another place do that in this city.

It is funny that he says he won't spend .75 for a game there when it doesn't matter what the place is - he won't spend .75. I could maybe see him complaing if they wronged him in some way but I am guessing he has only walked in there and never spent one cent. Just pathetic imo.

Roger,

You are asking Bruce all the right questions. I had the pleasure of playing in this tournament last night and I can tell you from personal experience that the place is top notch. The tables were in fantastic shape and played like Diamonds should... tight and fair.

If I didn't live over 45 minutes away from Sweet Tooth Billiards, I would call this place my "home room". Everything is top notch and the equipment was what I would expect from Mike O'Hara. The room is immaculate. Everything was very clean and the table lighting was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing about the place. I particularly like the sofas for when us pool players get tired.

Just my two cents...

Very nice review Ray. How did you end up in the tourney?

BVal

P.S. Does your phone still work? :D:D:D

Congrats to Bobby Emmons and Muaz "The Hurricane" Arshad for finishing 1st and 2nd,these guys are in the top 5 of the 10 rated players in the state and in constant action.

Hey Cheezy,

I lost in the first round to Bobby Emmons 9-5. We were both shooting well, he just got more of the rolls and caught his gear. And since the tourney is a single elim (100 entry), my night was done. Bobby ended up going on to win the tournament. I told Christine on the way home that if Bobby kept playing the way he did against me, that he would win that tournament. I should have bought a lotto ticket :).

BTW, sorry about the unreturned calls. It's been busy around the house lately. My mother-in-law is still saying with us and Christine is in a wedding this weekend, work is a biatch, blah, blah...

I'll give you a call soon.

Later,
Ray

Enough said :)

Bobby makes balls really well. I played in Preacher Ron's one-pocket tourney last weekend and was very disappointed in Bobby's attitude. If he ever gets rid of that attitude and plays for shape (more often :)) who knows where he will go.

Tell Christine I said Hi.

I'll wait by the phone for your call. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL :D:D:D

Later Bro,

Cheezy

It called a CRITIQUE, and OPINION based upon personal experience. Was talk to a buddy last night in California told him about the new Pool & Poker place with no Beer, my buddy said he like I think it will not be around 12 months the way it is going. Think I am just too honest for you all because i do not look at the world with glasses with rose colored lenses.

You are right Bval I was in twice for about 3 minutes to look around, and went down the road to spend my money. Both times that Table, and Ball were nasty. But then they had only been open an hour or so both times. BTW last time was my last time I think.

With a Wish and Buck you could win the
powerball_lottery.jpg
, as one Cuemaker in the Valley says that is what is unique about Arizona People, they had to drive cross town anything. Not like where he was located before Sunny Arizona? Guess Who said that ?

Snottsdale to Gennjail is not that far,

Well there is an Ad in Billiards & Darts News for the Sweet place, found it last night, it ran into another ad on the top of the page so it was hard to see. It is on page 17, and no hours open listed? Honestly the guy who did that ad did nothing to make it "standout" on the page, he should hirea graphic artist to do his ads and give them a little PAZAZZ IMHO, and the ad honestly just looks like part of the ad above. Unlike Bullshooter ads that is Black & White with lots of Gray Tones that makes their ad jump at you.
