Hey people. Remember the Espiritu cue I bought? Well, I have decided to get rid of the Irish linen. Now I have the problem of choosing what kind of wrap to have installed. I contacted Russ yesterday, and asked him to replace the butt cap, and to install a lizard wrap. $40 for the new butt cap, and $150 for the wrap (according to him, real lizard). Is anyone familiar with real lizard wrap? Anything better out there? All opinions are welcomed. Thanks.

This is the cue I'm having the wrap installed: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=59954&highlight=espiritu

I have a genuine lizard wrap on my Scruggs. I like it...good texture, great look. $150 is a great price for one...!!

i bought a used russ espiritu (from someone on this forum who sells cues and who i occasionally match up against, a really nice guy). it was in mint shape, and more importantly it hit sweet. i ordered a second shaft that came in this morning via fedex.

the cue feels great, unlike standard leather wraps, it doesn't feel wet when its humid. i say go for it. i'm attaching images of my russ espiritu.

Nice cue, I really like the color of the veneers. I'm sure it hits sweet... no doubt about it. Now that I saw your white wrap, I'm trying to decide if black or white lizard wrap would look appropriate on my cue. Hmmm...

when i first looked at the photos (as i said, it was up for sale on this forum) i was concerned the wrap was dirty. the look is actually natural for lizard...dark near the middle of the wrap, light at the ends. never saw a black lizard wrap. if you go with black, please post photos. :)

i'm not sure how to clean a lizard wrap. haven't had it long enough to worry but would like to know.

Your wrap does NOT look dirty. I'm sure it looks better in person. I can't wait to get mine installed. If $150 for a genuine lizard wrap is acceptable, than I'm all for it. When I get my cue (after wrap is installed), I'll share some pics with you. Hopefully everything turns out well.

My Mottey has a lizard wrap and I love it--wouldn't shoot with anything else now.
