Locating parts...

I need help locating some parts and was wondering if anyone had a line on these...

I've already checked Atlas, Schmelke, Prathers, and Unique

Round-nose shaft inserts

Brass or Stainless lined Ivory or Micarta joints.

Also sharp point 5/16 x 18 brass pins.

The insert is brass, why not take a file to is and shape it?

You make them yourself. Many items don't just come off of the shelf. Steel and ivory joint is a steel joint turned down and then threaded. Then you bore the ivory and thread that and install over the steel joint. Inserts used to have larger heads on them but now they are mostly squared off. After installing I just hit the head with a file and round it.

I guess this is just one of the differences between a cue maker and a cue assembler.

(whatever happened to the Rague cue?)

Even a cue repair person should be able to make the parts you need from what is available.
If you are unable to make them I doubt you will be able to properly install them into a cue.

If you don't want to use a file and a bit of sandpaper to clean it up.
The radius head insert, its close but not quite like the insert in the pic so you'll still have to shape it a bit anyway.
These guys have a $35 min order I believe.

I was pretty sure that the Ivory/Steel collar would have been custom...but I just wanted to double check. Thanks to all of you woe have responded.
