Lone Star Event March. 27-28 @ The Green Room in Temple, Texas

Info

Anyone know how many tables they have here?? Are they all bar boxes?? Is there plenty of parking...or might I add safe parking?? Never been there before and just wanted to get a heads up on what to expect.

2 9 footers (diamonds)

I was there 18 months ago.

Great owners.

10 bar boxes (all diamonds).

Last time there was no liquor. Some snack foods.

Parking was a little tight and a Bar-B-Q place next door. Decent neighborhood.

Give us some updates people.

They have two real nice Diamond 9 foot tables in addition to the 10 Diamond Smart Tables. They keep good care of their tables and the wait staff and owners are super nice!

As Kim said in her post - the tables will be open - no quarters necessary! Parking is safe, but a little tight like Jim says.

The Green Room has food and now also has alcohol. :)

I'm gonna be there!

Kind of a long drive, but I am going to be there. Leaving today. Looking forward to playing in this event and making some new friends.

Good Lord. That's 11 hours and 26 minutes of travel time by car.
YOU DA MAN, ANDY!

Have fun.

James Davis, Jr won again!

He won the Open division, I left before the women's was finished.

Robert Clark got 2nd and our own AZBer pooljunkie4ever (Noel Torres) got 3rd.

That would be the hat trick. He's on a roll!

Congrats to Jr and Clark, only 2 people that beat me. Jr played well against me.
Clark and I went Hill/hill I broke dry and he ran out, he played great as well.

First time for me to play for the hot seat, I was really nervous, but I take my lose as a stepping stone, learn from my mistakes and will be better prepared next time.

I will also add the if you want to attend or participate in a first class tournament,
schedule yourself to attend a LoneStart Tour stop. Kim is a great director and finds the best pool halls around.

Congrats Noel,
Looks like you have a great tournament. I hope you saved some of the good play for state in a couple weeks. ;)
