I wanted to try long cue like earl,SVB,etc

JC sent me one 58 with 10 inch extension

I played with it for about 4 days

for some reason i am playing fantastic

to be honest i don't know why
but it is powerful and causes me to set up different, stroke slower and hit with more accuracy and power than i ever experienced

if you want to spend a few hundred contact JC on AZ
he makes a real nice cue and is a very nice guy

Amen Dean,
John (JC) is a stand-up guy. He is type of guy who I would still feel comfortable making a deal with over a handshake, and his word. Those type of folks are few and far between, IMO. He is one of the good guys here at AZ.

Unless you're extremely tall, I have to think a lot of it is likely psychological - but hey, a huge chunk of the game is mentality.

Just on a lark, I fitted the 10" jump handle that came with my break cue as a mid-extension and broke with it and was astounded. I consistently break better with it (not more powerfully, but with more control). Fully assembled it's 69" and weighs about 16oz (the cue is just under 14oz without the extension). At 6' tall, it's much longer than anything I'd ever have thought could have legitimately been of benefit, but the results don't lie.

I have to admit, it has me seriously thinking about trying something similar with my shooter...

Dean, you're not alone. It is driving me bonkers right now that I'm shooting with a Predator w/ 8" Extension. The trick is to either go wrapless or get a cue with a wrap going all the way to the bottom so it feels like a normal cue.

I'm having Rick Howard make me a Sneaky Pete with a wrap to the bottom and extension. Until I ultimately decide what to do I will be shooting with a Predator Sport cue with a sport wrap and a Vantage shaft.:eek::p:rolleyes:

Another thing to think about is the weight distribution. The Predator extension is 8" long and only weighs 3.3oz. I have the cue setup at 14oz. It balances nicely and the weight feels like you're shooting with a normal cue.
