Long Term Playing Cue, not collector cues...

I know a lot of people shoot with their collector cues, but I'm not looking for that markets response. What $1500 or less expensive players cues, rarely change hands(ie. Scruggs sneaky)? What's the longest you played consistently with one cue or one makers cues?

I've been playing with a plain Jane curly maple Espiritu since 1994. I've bought and sold a few cues lately trying to find a replacement for it so that it can retire to a case. After owning three Nittis, I just bought a slightly fancier one to use for the next ~20 years.

Was gonna use Nitti as a Ex.

I don't see a lot of Nitti or Keith's cues for sale, they were two examples I was gonna use, but I don't know what they sell for. I know Scruggs sneakies are great and run 500 plus or minus.

I bought my first Diviney in 2003. Still have the cue. bought three and sold two other Divineys since. playing with the newer one now. looking for a replacement just having trouble finding the right one.

I play with a Gilbert cue have for years and I see no reason to change. I do have another on order from Andy. But its another simple four point linen wrap traditional playing cue as well.

I play with a local cue makers cue whose cues I never see on the secondary market. I have hit with several of his cues and they are all absolutely solid. Great players with absolutely outstanding wood combinations and workmanship. You may know him as JoeyInCali.. (Joey Bautista)

I've played with a Schmelke for the past 3 years, with an Erwin thrown in there for a few months. Before that, I played with a Viking G31 for a couple years. I use my cues. They see abuse. They are not collectors.

I will say, everyone I know of, that owns a Jensen, still has it. A friend of mine is still playing with the Jensen he bought years ago.

You don't see Keith Josey cues for sale all that often. I bought mine in 2007..still use it as my playing cue.

I always go back to my Jensen, played my old Runde for a few weeks but have just put it back up and put my Jensen back in my ever day case. It just banks so good, plus has some of the best shaft wood.

Yep, Gilbert here as well. Damn good cues.
