Lol. I bought three sets of Monster interconnects. A reference model, 75 bucks 1 meter pair. Their top of the line M1 or 1000 I forget which - 150 bucks a meter pair and their entry level cable as well as the fat Monster zip cord and and a few feet more of their M series speaker wire. That was somewhere in the 80s I think.
I still have that stuff and use it together with musical instrument cable and 'included with the DVD players' grade RCA plugs and wire. :D
Essentially, with the advent of CD players, stuff was already ball parked at "really good sounding" and as far as I was concerned good enough as is.

Come on, get with the program. You can't measure the audio warmth of specialty cables... Audiophiles could teach the aiming forum nut jobs the right way to drink their own koolaid.
Haha, me bad.

I agree with you…I’ve been thinking of resurrecting those.…..a few people complained because they didn’t realize it was fictional…
…and entertaining.

…to me, long posts are for readers…skimmers can look elsewhere.….
Doesn‘t mean I don’t give up on some long posts…some can’t write well enough…and some are just haranguing.
Right?? Not everything in life has to be a 2 minute microwave meal, there's nothing wrong slowing down to appreciate things from time to time. Anyone who skipped or just skimmed over the Monster players story missed a good read.

For some reason this made me think of the Simpsons and guy with the giant hand and rambling story

Sshh... they'll start claiming it works on audio too.
Well I'll just let you in on a secret but don't tell anyone. If you can stand in the middle of two speakers and move them to where they sound perfect, you can make any shot on the table. ;)

Your eyes see in stereo just like your ears hear in stereo.

Oooh, we can start a whole separate conversation in NPR about audio snobs. Example: people who claim tgey can hear a a difference with new interconnects or speaker cable after a break-in period.
I had a roommate in college. Audiophile. Engineer. Designed and build his own speakers. One day a group of us were studying and he was in the other room (two rooms away) watching tv. We were listening to music on his stereo. He got up from the other room and came in, pushed a button on the stereo and said “there, that’s better.” None of us could tell the difference. The next time he left we played lots of different music -using that button in and out - and all agreed we had no idea what that button did and could not hear any difference, at all. But it bugged him so much - over his tv show two rooms away - that he had to come and fix it.

Couple, rhetorical guesses:
Turned on or off feed to other room.
Turned on or off loudness switch which boosts bass and treble for low volume listening.

Your poll post itself pretty much illustrates my thoughts on the matter. I'd rather have long posts that provide some substance and good info that is at least accurate than short dumb fu<k nonsense posts any day of the week.

You gotta admit, the guy who could ever write the above as a poll (in a thread complaining about other people's posts no less) is literally the last guy in the world who should ever be complaining about anybody else's posts.:ROFLMAO:(y)
